Clarity HITS New Orleans Pelicans Hard After Back-to-Back Phoenix Suns Defeats

New Orleans Pelicans’ back-to-back losses to the Phoenix Suns reveal hard truths—this team can no longer hide from its flawed roster construction and playoff shortcomings. Can Zion Williamson shoulder the load when Jordan Poole falters in crunch time? Jake Madison questions if the Pelicans should continue chasing quick fixes or accept a patient rebuild, especially with promising rookies like Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen not yet ready to drive wins.

With poor three-point shooting and missed free throws sinking their chances, the Pelicans’ shooting woes remain a glaring issue. As New Orleans slips to the bottom of the Western Conference, Jake Madison highlights why giving up future assets for short-term gains could sabotage long-term growth. Is it time to reset expectations and build around their young core? Join the debate on the Pelicans’ future and what it will take for New Orleans to return to contention.

  1. Collin Gillespie is a UFA next off season currently on a $2.3 million contract. Lord knows he shoots well at SKC (9-17 from three this weekend).

  2. If as you said the only real problem was 3-point shooting in this last game then why can't that be easily corrected since they do have shooters on the team (Murphy,, Poole, Bey, Jose, Jones, Karlo)?

  3. I agree, we have a flawed roster. We are not going anywhere. Its rebuilding time.
