I’m with Ox. I believe DAL should be going hard to get the 6th seed. If they’re able to accomplish that, DAL can move Kyrie, AD, Gafford in the off-szn as their value goes up higher than where it’s currently at. Not to mention the confidence and experience Cooper has going into year two will be priceless.
This would be potentially one of the greatest franchise turn around. Especially post the most absurd trade in NBA history.

We had a one point eight percent chance, after making it to the play in and everything. The mavs only have one pick this off season and then not another pick for like five or six years. If we go for gold with Ad, and come up short. Then, we have zero pieces to build with cooper. 0 and we will have to pay ad's extension at the same time cooper is ready for his big contract. A d has barely played any games for us and has been injured the majority of the time. It's not worth it. It's better to trade, get picks and draft early..

As a Mavs fan respectfully fuck the playoffs let coop hoop Out and and come back with AD and Kyrie complety healthy and if they start of slow trade AD and reset with a younger Roster. We not ready to challenge OKC yet anyway just build experience
Trading AD is a mistake!
Cooper and Dallas can get playoff experience anytime. This is the only year you have your lottery pick for like another half decade. Tank now. Trade AD and Kyrie if you can get an offer you like or your picks back. You now have another young player to pair with Flagg, more assets than if you keep AD and Kyrie. And then you have a competitive future.

Where is buddy getting his numbers? You don't need 51 wins to make the playoffs. 51 wins would have been a 3rd seed last season
This is the problem with AD. WHEN HEALTHY, hes one of the best bigs in the league, but as we all know you can't depend on him being healthy.
Kidd playing Cooper at PG was the best thing for Cooper's progression. It was never to turn him in to a PG full time, it was to throw him in to the fire to accelerate his progression. It did exactly what Kidd wanted it to do. At the end of games he looks way more comfortable than his first couple weeks. I just feel like one of the best and one of the smartest PG's to ever play the game knows what hes doing a little bit more than keyboard warriors.
