The hawks suck because they don’t have a center and get dominated on the glass
Trae to Orlando 🙏🏽
Keep that energy for LeBron
look forward to these podcast, thank you windy!!!!
That AD injury stat number is ABSURD
Trae in Houston?
I think its hilarious people think Trae Young is a good basketball player. For his career he is averaging 25 ppg at 43%/35% splits (which are below league average bad shooting efficiency) and 10 assists along with 4 turnovers (Ratio of 2.5: to 1 which is not great for a PG, Hali averages half of his turnovers at the same assists). We know he doesn't defend anything or help in any other way other than offense, but his offense is like 90s players offense with no care for efficiency, where good shots are, or how much it impacts his team. LaMelo ball who is renowned for being unserious about winning, averages better efficiency while taking step back one legged shots. Please someone explain why any team should want to pay him 50 million a year? He's a 25-30 million type player, maybe best as a sixth man type guy. Cam Thomas basically scores like Trae and his team didn't even want to resign him. This is 2025 not 1995, he's not a winning player
Trade Trae for ad. Atlanta gets another part time big, maybe 2 halves can make a whole. Mavs get a flame thrower till kyrie gets back.
high volume, low percentage under-sized guards who don't play defense, are never worth it.
If mavs trade ad the return won’t be looked at as a return of r Luka…
Say it’s risacher kp n two 1sts..
The return for the Luka trade will be risacher, christie, 3 1sts, increased value of their own picks in ‘25 n ‘26 draft n the financial + team building flexibility that comes with being out of the aprons.
Slightly more indirectly…if they kept Luka they’d be in the 2nd apron after his extension. So in a few yrs they’d be selling off their assets for Pennie’s on the dollar to get off $ just like Celtics last summer. That loss is avoided with the Luka trade too.
It might even be Luka requesting a trade atp
n unlike Boston they weren’t good enough to be able to withstand that kind of loss
I need the bald guy to stop constantly interrupting Windhorst.
Nice to listen to a pod with out people begging for likes and to subscribe! Great hoops talk guys, carry on
Collab with Gil’s Arena lol if yall want the smoke
Dillon brooks MIP
When tim mcman talks about Jalen Green, the Rockets, or basketball in general, it's clear he's dedrater.
So you guys are saying the smaller guard are facing extinction
One key point you guys are missing, Tra is not efficient at all. He shoots 40% from the field almost his entire career.
27:35 – I guessed 200! 😂
These guys never let each other finish their points
20 and 10 average for a 30% salary cap is not good enough these days. Thats like every 4th year guard in the whole league. Its entry level offense for no defense
You guys are ridiculous. Wemby is always available for the media. The rare time he is not, you guys go on a rant.
Trade ad and ky to Atlanta and also get there nop pick. Flip trey for expirings and a top ten protected pick. Trade klay and get around 100 mil in free agency money. In
Wemby got elbowed in the neck at the end of the game. And you don't take that in to consideration on why he may not want to talk a lot or deal with postgame interviews?
Tell me you don’t actually watch the Hawks games without telling me you don’t actually watch them.
This system with teams paying Max contracts to sub par super stars is going to be very difficult to trade because they are Wayyyyyy overpaid. If Trae was in the west, he wouldn't be close to All Star! He'd be MLE type Guy!
Apparently Windy has no idea how to play Price Is Right, lol.
Ad wanting a extension means nothing Let him hit free agency and match the 25 mil offer at best he gets
Bontemps throwing random shots at the Spurs is not called for one of the worst analysts I ever watched
The draft is rigged the Spurs getting top 3 picks the last few seasons and Dallas getting the first picks is a good example.. tanking won't help the nets the NBA already knows who is getting the top 5 picks
You telling me the Clippers won't give Trae Y. Money, there are teams willing to spend, Atlanta is a loser, I'm not even s Hawks fan.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😊😊😊😊😅😢😢
Trae to spurs this way they ain’t gotta worry to much about him on defense
Bontemps is insufferable
It's sad to say it's about a 1000% chance the Hawks will have 7th straight game lost after tonight.
I wish Trae the best and I respect him the utmost because he’s done things for my Hawks team nobody has ever done and practically broke every offensive record ever held on this team. I wish Trae coulda stayed like the ECF Trae. But as a Hawks fan, rn I’m happy Trae ain’t locked down for 4-5 yrs…😢😢😢😢
They gave TY that money cause they thought he was a variant of SC. Nope. Under sized, defensive liability. Leadership?
Someone remind Bontemps that Victor did nearly EVERY SINGLE presser after a loss in his rookie season, including during that BRUTAL 19-game losing streak. Every. Single. One. So making this one a big deal is a little petty.
Love the new intro
195!?!?! Hahahahahahabha
This doesn't suprise me. When teams start giving players max deal for 4 to 5 years when a player is projected to be an elite player will devastate a franchise. Cavs will be in this problem in the future and now. Cause no one wants Garland's 5 foot nothing defense of liability guard. The Cavs will definitely regret giving Mobley a max deal last year , and now you see him soft and not intimidating. These franchises deserve it.
And therefore, Trae isn’t going anywhere.
I am guessing the AD injury logs before Bontemps says the answer. 137 i say this cause there were seasons where AD got hurt 20 times in several seasons.
Wemby sat there pretty much every night through all of those losses in the last 2 seasons and gave the press deep and thoughtful answers every time. If this becomes an ongoing thing I would agree, but it's one game.
Dawg said there’s alot of 10 jerseys that just shows you they don’t watch they just talk
Bro, 20 and ten, but what about everything else. It’s much more difficult to pad assist numbers, this is true. However, when you watch, Trae is being abused on defense and the boards. His gravity on offense is not work the cost. When he doesn’t get the assist, what else is he doing? Thats why there’s no market.
Welcome to Toronto AD.
