Cavs at Spurs | Kenny Atkinson Post Game | 12.29.2025
Cleveland Cavaliers Head Coach Kenny Atkinson spoke with the media following a 113-101 win over the San Antonio Spurs on December 29, 2025 at Frost Bank Center.
Thanks for playing CPJ over Ball! Whenever Ball plays it should be at PG not SG. He's never played off guard in the NBA. Not sure why coach keeps forcing it
The game plan for the Houston Rockets should've been the same one tonight. Amen Thompson is a lockdown defender when facing against Donovan Mitchell, so their usual plan of Donovan saving the team in the 3rd and 4th was null. They have to rely on the bigs to get the job done like they did tonight. Great effort Kenny.
Love the win but keep in mind the match-up. Spurs can play physical but are more of a finesse team. They couldn’t really play bully ball against the Cavs so Cavs could match their physicality inside.

Garland’s assists per game are increasing!😮
The secret is to play Donovan Mitchell as a role player.

Craig's block might be my favorite play
A win we can be proud of… USE THE BIGS
Great Team Win…. Build on this
Jarrett Allen FINALLY DOMINATED AGAINST A TOP TEAM. Whatever Yall Did To Movitate Jarrett Tonight …. DON'T STOP 💪
Still not enough attempts from the FT line! And terrible 3 point shooting from Spyda and Garland and Merrill
Glad to see them win without having Mitchell play his ass off 👏
Why u didn't do that with Durant the other day smh?
