The Brooklyn Nets Struck Gold With Egor Demin…
When the Nets selected Egor Demin in this year’s draft, many were quick to call it a reach. They said that it would have been a fine pick in the teen’s, but was overstepping it at number eight. Well I’m here today to tell you that those people were wrong. Now I wouldn’t say that he’s perfect or that there haven’t been growing pains. But the flashes have more than made up for it. Take tonight’s loss to the Warriors for example. He finished with 23 points and an eye popping SEVEN made threes, setting the Nets rookie record for the most in one game. In a game that featured Steph Curry on the other side, Demin was doing his best Steph impression. It was a quick trigger from him that showed no lack of confidence, and you pair that with the accuracy and his nickname feels accurate, the Russian Rifle. After a poor second half of the season shooting the ball at BYU, his biggest red flag coming into the draft seemed like unreliable shooting. But at the pro level, it has emerged as his biggest strength. But it wasn’t just this one game from the rook. Since head coach Jordi Fernandez reportedly told him to lock in, he has averaged 17 points per game over four games, while shooting 49% from the field and 42% from deep. He’s extremely confident shooting the ball, and maybe more so than any other Nets player not named Michael Porter Jr, when he puts a shot up, you think it’s going in. The Nets struck gold with Egor Demin.
Think about subbing, I’m on the road to 15k!!!

He good
nope. 90% of his attempts are 3's. it tells me (and these highlights confirm) he's having trouble getting to the rim. for a PG that's a problem. If he doesn't have the explosiveness and/or handle to get to the rim he's gonna be in trouble
