Wemby should not be the #1 focal point of the offense. I been saying it for months! That's why they were playing so well offensively when his mins were reduced. We will not win consistently with him trying to be MVP Wemby. He needs to be a defender and 3pt/lob threat primary. He is not KD!! They will not contend with him being the #1 scoring option. He will have highlight plays but ultimately lose against the best teams unless he accepts a lesser role on offense. The players try to get him involved and force feed him. That's not how this team will win a championship. I love Wemby but that the truth
As someone who watches from the couch, i see the starting role and everything that comes with it throws my boy off. Hes still young, still cant control his emotions. When he sits for the start it gives him time to settle down n remember its just basketball and he was born to play. Either way, GO SPURS GO!!! 🎉❤
This is going to be a bit of a rough patch as the team adjusts to Wemby returning to the starting lineup while the coaching and medical staff manage his minutes restriction. It’s noticeable with the flow of the game being clearly affected.

Wemby should stop all the acrobatics and just lead his team if he is really the Spurs top man. He needs to inspire his team mates more than his audience and fans.

Those two loses are on the coaching staff you can’t keep playing drop coverage against teams who have shooters and Wemby can’t try to block every dam shot teams are using that to their advantage.these guys gotta slide their dam feet and play good defense. Teams are putting 3 point shooters in the game against the spurs because they know they are only guarding the drive and not the kick out. That’s coaching. You can’t let a team going a 8-0 run to start a quarter then call timeout hell is wrong with Mitch
WEMBY should learn "hook-shot." He has the longest arm that can do a shot that can't be blocked. He is always doing the same moves like fakepump-drive-fade-away-shot or fakepump-drive-dunk the ball… CAVS already know his playstyles and studied it.
When wemby is in the half court set, the team is stalled out. The spacing is wrong

Show me the Kevin Willis and Antoine Carr of the world that will commit to cleaning up the boards so Victor Wembanyama can play his game. Victor Wembanyama is is a 7’ 4” that can play two positions on the court. Center and Small Forward which is unprecedented. Something never seen before. It needs to be exploited and I Just don’t see it right now.

What offense are the Spurs running? Motion? Whatever it is, guys are standing around at the 3-point line and not in position to get loose balls. The only consistent pick and roll/pick and pop I see is from Castle and Kornet. Fox should be pick and pop all day. Their offense gets their players the ball on the elbow, then they run handoffs from there but it’s not an ideal area for Wemby to operate, just get him the ball on the block and show that footwork. If not that, where are the screens for the guards to force switches or create lanes? When screens are set, they are half-hearted and at times don’t even touch the other player. They set a screen and roll away before they even screen the defender. We are winning in transition but our offense in the Half-court is stagnant and doesn’t look intentional. Players are taking bad shots and turning over the ball because they aren’t running a real offense.
I'm sorry it's not a good process fox or wemby over dribble together often. Other starters can't get solid looks, everyone worries, it rolls over the second unit without an elite scorer and game becomes about catching up. Keeping fox or wemby in 2nd unit besides the very end could solve this. They won't get their desired point averages, right now imo, being on the court with each other too often. Think manu
It’s the same as it has been the last couple of yrs . The young guys just get up more to play better opponents. The jazz and the cavaliers are the middle of the pack teams . The same fire is not there for those teams . We have to learn to bring the same energy regardless of who we are playing !

I think that Vic should play like Kornet for a few games; they shouldn't run any offense through him which allow our guards to play free. They are looking to get Vic involved offensively when they don't have to do that with Luke. Once mitch figures out how to balance Vics role(s) this team will be scary.
Vic role with the starters should be strictly defensive for now until they build chemistry but when Fox or Vassell subs out his role should be to score. So he has to juggle different roles at different times.
Mitch and Vic have to design specific roles for specific rotations. I like when Vic, KJ, Harper, Fox and HB are on the floor together.
Biggest issue I see is that they take way too many 3’s? I understand if they are falling take them if not take it to the basketball or get better mid range shots! Sometimes they settle to much on the 3 point shots. I understand it’s part of the game but if they aren’t falling adjust!

Wmby taking the high road. He could have just said that Champagnie, Barnes and Vassell have to knock down their open looks because 17 of 73 over the last 4 games is not going to cut it from the three point line. Teams will just take away the lanes from the guards and continue to challenge the Spurs to knock down their shots. I would like to see the pick and roll between Fox and Wemby begin to emerge though. It would be a solid option for a team that seems to struggle when the pace slows down and creates more of a half-court game.
been saying it since seeing those ridiculous home game celebrations with gong after home wins…that will take alot of extra energy each game, and if take a L then it may sting even more…omit the gong celebrations until the finals game 6 or 7 when yall lift the trophy…other than that the gong is a symbol of supporting mediocrity…not a diss just truth threw eyes of real hooper mentality. you see knicks not satisfied with the emirates banner not putting it in rafters (and they are correct for that), dont get too high dont get too low its still wayyyyy early in season we havent even hit allstar break yet…lets do better spurs

We are still a force to be reckoned with in this league. Make no mistake, there are teams that don’t look forward to playing us, irregardless of a 2 game streak.

Just a Thunder fan here looking at what's going on with the Spurs. So… y'all face other teams and decide to shoot 22% from 3, and lose to worse teams, but when y'all play us, y'all magically remember how to shoot 3s and shoot 40%. What is it with you Texas teams somehow getting better every time we play y'all? Dallas: PJ Washington turns into an All-star. Houston: Sengun can shoot 3s all of a sudden. San Antonio: a team that supposedly can't shoot 3s that well shoots 40% from 3. I see how we beat y'all. We gotta shoot 40%+ from 3 and y'all gotta return to normal 20% from 3 and not go crazy on us. I see the way. If only Mark Daigneault saw the way too…
He needs to play in the paint low it would bring the defense to him and open up clean 3s for our shooters.
