I noticed Joe hates giving the Spurs credit. It's always what the Thunder aren't doing, never what the Spurs are doing. But watch when the Thunder start blowing everyone else out again then it's going to be what they're doing right again.

OKC's guards are 3 and D guards. That is how they are constructed. But they simply cannot create shots for themselves. The Spurs guards are just as (if not better) than them defensively, but the Spurs guards can create shots for themselves. Factor in the defensive impact of Wemby patrolling the lane and discouraging paint points and you have the recipe for disaster. Those 3 point shots become more and more difficult when you cannot get into the paint and score easy points. This is what the OKC probably was referring to as Hail Mary shots.

Ill give you the reality of it. I fell for it too and all the greatness of OKC talk. . Lets go back to last years finals. I for one thought the Pacers outplayed OKC 5 out of 7 of those games. Halliburton's injury made a HUGE difference. Fast forward to this year and you have a decently favorable schedule to start and get all this talk about breaking records. I didnt think they were all that great last year but Champs none the less. I bought in a bit. I didnt expect my Spurs to compete like this yet. I didnt expect us to win even that first Cup game. But now after watching OKC play this year im convinced its not quite as advertised and is about the same as i saw last year. They are an overachieving team that plays a game like thev've already won everything and kind of arrogant. Now they've found a match up that they can't really treat with the same arrogance. They got talent but all around kinda lazy and streaky front runners. Especially Holmgren. Hes terrible. I Love Wemby punking him. This Podcast is pretty poor analysis as well. Holmgren is OBVIOUSLY getting rattled by Wemby. Go Spurs Go!
