lukas been bad for a month now? lol lebron had 15 points at halftime and finished with 17. when luka went out the team fell apart in the lebron minutes. and the pistons were fouling up and down the court so they got away with a ton of contact and lakers arent built for that physicality
Time for LA to liquidate guys like Rui, Ayton, and Dalton to regain some pick flexibility going forward. Rui to ORL for Isaac’s contract and a couple seconds. Dalton to Charlotte (finally) for a 2nd. Ayton to…? Chicago? Golden State? Idk, somewhere for a pick. Go into the summer with $60m in cap space to spend plus those extra 4-5 second round picks.

your asking Luka to be a 34/10/10 guy with 55/40/85 splits, have 2 to 3 turnovers a game while having the ball majority of the game and the lakers might win a game. How is he supposed to be efficient and score in the paint if the whole team collapses but if he kicks the ball out to a shooter its a brick. No wonder Luka doesnt look like himself. How is this the standard that your asking of him.
I've said it before and I will again cade will be better than Luka if he makes the 2nd round or conf finals. He does everything Luka does on offense but more efficient and better in the middy. Hello he's prime Gary payton on defense compared to Luka which matters all the time not when you people pick and choose it too. Cade is a complete basketball player. Luka is not and we've already had information his style does not win when it matters.

A deadline trade won’t even help the Lakers this season. All their seemingly positive assets (Rui, Dalton, Vincent) have tanked. Reaves is not worth moving because another team will not give a lot of value for him unless he signs an extension (which can only happen in the offseason).
On the flip side, LA’s draft picks may have appreciated a bit.

The lakers stayed in it because they hunt for fouls and they put all the important players in foul trouble. Sure some were actual fouls, but some were ridiculous. Then the pistons couldn’t play hard defense like they usually do because they had to be so careful
Not to foul. If they even breathe near Luka it’s a foul. Absolutely insane and hard to watch. Hate all the foul baiting Luka does. Lakers are playing ugly basketball in my opinion. Pistons play a great brand of basketball.
Cade looked so dominant and fit out there compared to Luka. He’s the kind of franchise player I would want on my team. Cade is a quick, smart team player, great defender, great passer, hardly any wasted possessions, doesn’t search for fouls on every shot, is a great positive leader. His leadership and positivity trickles down to all of his teammates. Only 24! Can only imagine how great he’s going to be when he’s 27. Love that he’s so dedicated to taking care of his health and body too.

Luka is a losing basketball player
Lakers could immediately improve the roster by getting out of the James family business.
Everyone blaming Luka forgot that Luka had a perfect roster to work around his weakneeses in Dallas. Numerous defensive wings with 2 soid rim rollers and a bonafide second scorer. They also had experience with beating OKC. Now you have to start from scratch to get to that point.
If Cade ever gets the respect of the officials he will be a 32 ppg scorer.
