TRADE TALK: Trae Young’s Value DROPS as Atlanta Hawks WIN, Is Jalen Johnson the NEW STAR?
Are the Atlanta Hawks soaring higher without Trae Young? Wes Goldberg and Matt Moore debate if Atlanta should move on from their star point guard following a pivotal win, while spotlighting Jalen Johnson’s emergence and Kristaps Porzingis’ impact. The conversation compares isocentric basketball’s decline with the rise of team-oriented play, questioning if the Hawks are set for a roster shake-up that unlocks their full potential.
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks’ vulnerable perimeter defense faces scrutiny after a costly loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Can Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns overcome defensive shortcomings, or will the Knicks’ title hopes unravel against fast, dynamic guards in the playoffs? The discussion wraps with Cade Cunningham’s unexpected MVP candidacy for the Detroit Pistons and examines whether the LA Clippers’ latest surge is the real deal.

They get Porzingis, who rarely plays, let Capela go which means no rim protection and now this is Trae's fault? I said preseason people were overrating the Hawks and when it doesn't work,Trae will be blamed. They get Kennard who doesn't play much even when he is shooting well and now they're supposed to be elite? I like Alexander walker but he'll have to be this productive for a full season or two. I know Snyder is the coach now but when people say they can't win with Trae playing that way, shouldn't the proper critique be they can't win if the coach keeps drawing it up for him to play the way he does? Clearly it's best for both sides to go their own way and unfortunately for Trae, he'll likely go to another underachieving or flat out bad team
Matt is Mr. Negative.
If Cade got a fraction of Shae's whistle he'd avg 30ppg
You can’t win a title with Trae being the number 1 option on the team
Hello 2026. Good show!
