WANTED: Anyone To Play Center For Denver Nuggets

Denver Nuggets face an unprecedented crisis as their center rotation collapses, with injuries sidelining Nikola Jokic, Jonas Valanciunas, and key contributors like Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun. Can any lineup survive this relentless wave of setbacks, and who will step up as the next big man in Denver? Host Matt Moore invites fans to pitch themselves as emergency centers, highlighting the desperate search for size, rebounding, and defensive grit.

Matt Moore examines the team’s limited trade options, explores realistic targets from the G League, and emphasizes why a panic move could hurt long-term goals. The episode breaks down the importance of the recent win over the Raptors, Jamal Murray’s leadership under pressure, and the tactical risks of playing Aaron Gordon at the five. With playoff standings at risk and the Western Conference race tightening, the Nuggets must find answers fast. Will this adversity forge a championship mindset—or push Denver into a dangerous slide?

  1. Nuggets turning into the Detroit Lions.. amazing talent but all injured. Thankfully the NBA season is long and hopefully these starters will be healthy come playoff time

  2. Matt you get a lot of hate for some of your ‘contrarian’ takes but I’ll say your positivity and optimism have been incredibly welcome during this crisis. Thank you for the hard work you’re putting in

  3. Nuggets new target has to be the 6th seed. EVen if Jokic is back in a month (which I don't believe) then he's not going to be 100%. We learned this lesson with all the "when is Jamal coming back?" speculation. It's always later and worse than you think. But, a 6-3 matchup against the Rockets or Spurs is still advantage Jokic. And then you play the Spurs or Rockets in the 2nd round. It's bad that they play 2 top teams in the first 2 rounds, and THEN play the Thunder. But, this was always going to be a gauntlet. Their statistical chances to win a Championship, probably fell from around 30% to 3%. No team outside the top 3 seeds have won a Championship since the 1995 Rockets. And before that, the 4th seed Celtics beat the Lakers in '69. So, it's happened twice in NBA history. So, it's just not likely at all. Except they have Jokic. Healthy Jokic gives you a chance to beat anybody. And he should be healthy at year end.

  4. 6’3 155 high school Center, top 5 in state in blocks per game. Too slow to switch on perimeter, too small to guard NBA centers, too weak to guard wings. Good communicator, great iq in the short roll, ultra competitive, broken jumper and a weak handle. I think Booth would sign me to the max
