This Loss Showed Exactly What Detroit Is Missing… 👀

The Detroit Pistons suffer a heartbreaking 131–129 loss to the Utah Jazz — and this one stings.

Cade Cunningham was sensational, finishing with 27 points and 17 assists, but defensive breakdowns, questionable rotations, and late-game execution issues proved costly once again.

We break down:
Why Detroit’s defense let them down
The rotation decisions that raised eyebrows
Strong bench performances from Ron Holland and Jaden Ivey
And why this loss highlighted the type of missing piece that could elevate this team to the next level

👉 Is Detroit just one move away?

  1. That's the problem with the team Ron and Ausar the same player all defense no offense and caris and Duncan all offense no defense. We need a player or players thats combined offense and defense

  2. What a heartbreaking loss and to all teams…..the Utah Jazz 😢 gotta get back on track, put this game behind us……Go Pistons 💪 thank you as always for the coverage Jack 👍

  3. Jack,Utah needed the Game after the worst 1st quarter to Denver I have seen when they scored 15 points😢on Monday. Also they are headed next to San Antonio😅so they played inspired against what JAZZ announcers called the BEAST of the EAST our Pistons. Let's get back on track and make sure we shut up the mouth of the NATIONAL Media and most of all the chirping Knicks Nation😂.

  4. Pistons are being complacent with weaker teams as usual. Same problem along with FT woes that JB has failed to fix

  5. Don't get why JB thinks LeVert should be closing games – and why when we clearly need some scoring next to Cade a guy like Ivey who could provide that stays glued to the bench?? Head scratching for sure??

  6. Pistons were in the bonus 4 mins into the 2nd quarter and seemed to have taken control of the game up 8. I can't believe they lost that quarter. The 3rd may have been the worst, but it's the combination of the two why I turned it off. It felt a loss was coming. Ausar and Duren stunk, if you wanted to isolate 2 guys. Ausar didn't play because he was making huge defensive mistakes as well. Some of those free layups for Utah definitely trace back to Ausar.

  7. 44 pt third quarter on 18 free throws…… the whistle was hot for Utah.

We have to learn how to overcome the whistle and still gain momentum

  8. 6 of our 7 loses have been by 4 or less points, Pistons don’t need a massive upgrade they can make some smart moves and just get a field goal or two better on both ends and they’ll see big results. Also, Duren only had 11, when he disappears we don’t win.

  9. I'm thinking that maybe Ausar had something going on. Maybe some nagging injury? A hangover? He was off from the start. All 3 of our first turns came from him losing control. Was he still drunk? Hungover? 😂

  10. How about Cade searching for the foul instead of looking to be aggressive on the final shot? OR: Jaden had keyonte on him 1ft out from the basket on the inbound. Why didn't we try to get it into him? Really poor execution on the final shot, I think.

  11. Anytime pistons play in high elevation Ausur doesnt play much. Makes me think it has something to do with his past blood clots and respiratory issues. Also the whistle has not been kind at all on this west coast trip. Idk how the #1 paint team keeps getting doubled up on FT attempts

  12. Unfortunately the pistons are still front runners. Until they can consistently beat the teams that they should beat, i dont think anythings gonna change. My issue is that we dont have elite 3&d players. The guys who r in that role on the team are solid but are low tier compared to the 3&d players on teams like the knicks

  13. I'm glad JB bence Thompson he played so bad like he had a hangover or something I never saw a NBA player so clumsy and falling out of control

  14. The Pistons needa practice Freethrows that's literally why we lost.. also GET THIS MAN CADE SOME HELP… a 25 ppg certified certified bucket..

  15. They remind me of the 04" team. All defense, most nights offensively challenged, don't play hard against beatable teams, "If it ain't rough it ain't right." I think whomever they bring in will adapt to Piston culture so chemistry might not be affected all that much and the team can upgrade offensively. That being said, plzzzz trade for Markennen!

  16. Markanan may be a good fit player-wise, BUT he is a terrible financial fit. Also, he's going to cost too many picks and players. No thank you!

  17. I think it's time for a consolidation trade. we have such a deep roster, a good thing, but we lack creation and size at the 3 and especially the 4 position. It gets frustrating watching teams with decent size jump all over us when we play small. I also think JB is overplaying the role players and the rotation is too long, which messes with the player's rthym. Too much Jevonte, Caris, Danis and not enough minutes for Ron, Ausar, Ivey (if he's legitamtely healthy now and off his minutes restriction?).

  18. I remember days not long ago when pistons were lucky to win just 1 game on that west trip

  19. After Portland and Sacramento you could see this loss coming. Can't coast and win in the nba that much
