MAGIC RISING: Anthony Black DOMINATES As Orlando’s Most RELIABLE Scorer

The Orlando Magic stunned the Denver Nuggets behind a breakout 38-point performance from Anthony Black. This has not been an isolated incident for the Magic. Black has been the team’s most consistent scorer for several weeks and he has had more and more of these big games. Could he emerge as another potential All-Star on the team?

With Paolo Banchero struggling to find his footing, the Magic have needed more contributions from Black. But it is not just Black. The team’s by-committee approach is getting put to the test. And to defeat the Nuggets, several players needed to step up before Desmond Bane closed the game with two free throws in the final seconds of the game.

  1. I think Paolo plays well today. My conspiracy is that Joe is taking over Mosley’s position and he is building a new system where the team needs teamwork instead of solo. Paolo is trying to fit in to the new system and obviously he is not used to the new role. That’s why he sucks. But he will be a bigger Tatum when he succeeds

  2. Without Paolo taking up double teams and getting the attentionX Black doesnt have the space that he has. Are we serious???

  3. Paolo to me is clearly trying to figure out where and how he fits in the offense. Numerous times since he comes back he is doing what others are off ball and the ball is going somewhere else as this is a more read and react offense now where on a regular basis AB and Dell are taking more shots than P5 and he has never been efficient on minimal shots. I can see the effort but I can also see his frustrations and some good wins does make it worth it so we can’t lose the easy ones and gotta keep grinding as we figure this out as a team

  4. Much better game for Orlando with the bench helping the starters pull out a win. Tyus Jones however played 23 minutes and produced 0 points, why are we holding back a young player like Jett Howard from getting minutes. This kid despite not getting much playing time has more scoring points than Tyus Jones in all his games combined. Paolo took a back seat, and he is supposed to be the chosen one (the generational player) who is supposed to be the star player that takes us to the promise land. Shaking my head. Orlando coaching staff has got to do better with trusting the players that produce by rewarding them with more playing time and allowing them to find the sweet spot that contributes consistently to the success of the team.

  5. At Phil! Ab is playing nasty over the last 5 games while banchero is on the declined. Loved when Mosley took him out when he missed his 4 straight free throw and let the bench play fast and efficient. Also, we have to give it to bane 24 points and he kept pushing the offense, de silva scoring 17 on the second game back from injury, issac with his defense, richardson and cane with their energy and defense and Wendell with the buly ball. I cant wait when Franz, Mo and suggs are back.

  6. We are going from worst game of the season to a new star is born. He has a good phase of the season right now, but we should really slow down a little.

  7. Jonathan Isaac was HUGE. +17 in 10 minutes. 4 steals, fighting for rebounds, challenging shots. Despite the heroics from Black, we wouldn't have won without him. He has to be important, specially now without Franz and Suggs.

  8. Paolo is playing like he doesn’t want to be here. This team is going absolutely nowhere if AB is our “star”. He should be 5th on that list. This is getting really embarrassing and completely inexcusable. The spotlight of this episode should be how bad Paolo is playing not that AB had a great game bc at the end of the day one matters a lot more than the other.

  9. im not worried about paolo in the slighest im more worried about mosely playing tyus still and bane not ever knowing where his teammates are.

  10. P5 is still a threat, the double team he get proves that. It creates opportunity for others to score. P5 needs to just make his shots especially those free throws and gimmies around the rim

  11. I hope this game is the confidence boost for AB to remain aggressive. Paolo still seems something’s off, I would love to see that switch be flipped. Last thing we need is another Ben Simmons for a generational talent.

  12. I think Paolo is not a 100 percent. The injury he had is a lingering injury. He's clearly not as explosive as he was. He looks like a guy trying not to reinger his self.

  13. Phillip at the end of the Denver Nuggets game. Anthony Black said he is opened because opponents leave him open and he plays with stars . He is the most impoved player this year but not a star ⭐ yet.
