I caught the game in the fourth quarter with like three minutes left and I saw that we were down like 11 or 12 points but then when I saw the clippers taking out Leonard in a flash on the screen 55 points. I just turned it off and was like whoa. That’s crazy.
The Pistons are a conflicted team right now. You hang your hat on defense but you have Tobias, Duncan and LeVert playing huge minutes 🤔.. Ivey and Holland are high draft picks that need to produce more for this team💯.. JB has rotation issues right now. I think the identity of the team is taking a hit by trying to accommodate the veteran players 🤷🏿♂️.. High energy/ defense is what the Pistons need
What up King? Always good sober analysis. The loss looked worse than what it was. Kawhi was on a heater. Like you said, this is what it was like to watch Jordan. Everybody in the stadium knew who was getting the ball and no one could do anything about it. There were a handful of defensive sequences where Ausar locked up Kawhi and it was impressive. The Pistons are dawgs. I think Ausar was looking at himself in the mirror, because he's on a similar trajectory as Kawhi (defense first as offense matures). Shooting, shooting, shooting! They were 7 of 29 (24%) from three. If you don't have good shooting, your opposition can shrink that floor and that makes it much tougher for the ball handlers. Can't do that against a healthy Clippers and several other teams. The pistons are rounding into form. With all the injuries earlier on and the changes to the lineups, they are still looking for team continuity on the floor. Many of their wins have been dog fights, but you can do that with all teams especially teams with savvy vets, or team that have been to the mountain top. if there's a such team as a good loss, this was it. I can hear Darius Miles now "In the 25/26 season, who was the first team to bust yo ass?" They gone be alright. Definitely no need to hit the panic button, they need to handle the shooting problem. Bring back Malik. He was the second best shooter in the league last year just above Steph. I'm sure he's gotta a chip on his shoulders. I don't understand the waffling. Bring back that man.
You nailed it. One of the few real, mature voices in this Pistons community. Fans panicking because a 2x champ/finals mvp cooked us need to chill. Trajan and JB just got here and already flipped the franchise from what it was a year and a half ago. We’re not in the same spot the Bad Boys or Goin’ to Work squads were when they made their big mid‑season moves, so all this “go get our Rasheed” talk is wild.
The fanbase is too divided—especially folks who weren’t even old enough to remember our last title run acting like team‑building experts. The Ivey and Ausar slander is tired. Thank you, King, for pointing this out again and again. I am high on all the young core including Ausar, but at least right now he isn’t a point forward, and people need to stop forcing that. Let him grow into that Tayshaun‑type role: tighten the handle, keep building the offense, and stay patient. Same with Duren—imagine if we’d actually traded him for Claxton like some wanted.
Our young core never had the structure OKC, Houston, or Orlando had. Coaching and culture matter, and we’re finally seeing that. I’m out on big trades. Miss me with the MPJ savior talk. Tobias isn’t the long‑term 4, but he’s doing exactly what he was brought here to do: help these guys grow.
My hope is Trajan uses this draft—likely in the 20s—to grab a two‑way PF with size to pair with Duren. That’s how you build without gutting the roster. Duren is 22. A 20–21‑year‑old PF fits the timeline perfectly.
Fans need to relax. I love the start, but I’m focused on development, not standings. Whether we make a run or not, I want this core taking real steps toward long‑term contention—not some “go all in because the East is open” panic move.
Shoutout to King for at least trying to calm the fanbase.
So he didn't get in any trouble what happened to circumventing the salary cap with the clippers? That other thing happened with gambling and I heard nothing since ? It's wild
They cant make free throws, cant shoot threes, keep turning the ball over. I really think teams are starting to figure the pistons out. Collapse the paint and guard Duncan on the three and you can beat the pistons.
This is the price we pay of becoming the best in the league. You’re going to get everyone’s best shot at you. There’s another level the Pistons need to get to, and kawhi just showed the how to do it.
As a sidenote, it's not just a coincidence the Clippers have won their last 4 games (including a beatdown of the Rockets) since Zubac went down with an injury. The post is no longer clogged in the middle allowing Kawhi and Harden to cook.
Daniss Jenkins needs consistent playing time. Not a few minutes here and there. Then you don’t know how much JI is going to play . Duncan Robinson is no starter . Caris Levert is good bench warmer.
Kawhi is my favorite player of all time, but what this brother said is correct. If you are too young to have watched MJ play, Kawhi is the closest right now and magnify that and MJ played like that on a regular with no nights off, just magical.
This overrated Thompson for everything he does well on defense he gets beat he's out of control he falls he can't score if we can get a real player for him let him go he's not that great he has high school offense like he's a kid developing the guy is 23 years old
Might have to remix that short rap song You know Detroit won again….with You know Detroit Lost again if they lose to the Lakers they gave up 55pts to a guy who have not done shit in a long time and plays when he wanna play
Man I see what King is always talking about. You fair weather fans need to find a new team. Stop saying your pistons fans if you ready to give up and trade away their DEEP bench for nothing but chemistry abusers. Great teams lose games, and they usually lose them on long road trips

Give Sasser a chance at point. He's good
This is still an evaluation year and Pistons lack experience still.
Man the hell Pistons.

Pistons needs a REAL scorer.

Same thing, Utah is not a good team. We lost that game because of no defense and effort and players was crying about the call
wire 2 wire they beat us. Time to start ivey.
Kawhi put belt to tail in this game…

0:42 That is the most head on backwards, Garbage take I’ve heard a while, and completely a Lie!
We’re gonna lose in the playoffs because JB has no idea how to play ausar and keeps trotting out Tobias and levert
They cant make free throws, cant shoot threes, keep turning the ball over. I really think teams are starting to figure the pistons out. Collapse the paint and guard Duncan on the three and you can beat the pistons.

Deeetroit basketball 🏀 Clippers needed the win more than we did. Kawhi will be bench next game. 😂

And for all of us fall in love with all these role players one star can replace one role player in the playoffs JB's not going to play those guys
zu need to trade the other team
🚨🇺🇸🚨🇺🇸🚨🔥. Bring boogie cousins and Malik Beasley and we get a chip .. other than that we a playoff team only
The only fanbase who consistently bashes Kawhi are Steph STANS and Leflop's Bronsexuals……….. I wonder why though?😉🇹🇹

it's crazy that we have so many guards and none of them is capable of playmaking/shot creating
Michael Porter Jr., if he’s available..🤔
Detroit not there yet !
We might need to grab Chris Paul , we can get him for the minimum and it can help with ball handling among other things especially in the playoffs.
Man if Cade ever gets that Kawhi type of middy.
They shoulda fouled the hell out of his ass never should get that.
