Coach Quinn out-coached once again! Asa Newell hardly got a look. This Hawks team has so much talent but not fully utilized by the Coach
glad we loss without Trae, losing is worth it to keep Trae
The Team plays too soft
Really looks like gross mismanagement now with KP’s absence. Unless KP forfeits salary, the Hawks got completely screwed with this contract. They didn’t see this coming???
Imma leave this here for the ignorant folks who wanna blame losses on individual players.
During the losing streak the Hawks was 2 and 11 meaning 2 wins and 11 losses this is before the recent 2 game Wolves and Kicks wins.
Trae only played in 5 of those loses during that 2-11 loss streak😮
Let that marinate
If he only played in 5 of the 11 loses during that lossing streak how was he the reason they were losing?😂
The losses actually coincide more with the time frame that Porzingis started missing more than back to backs due to his illness. That was the real reason they went on the losing streak.
If you are a real Hawks fan you know this team has a problem with not having enough size. When Porzingis is out of the lineup the Size issue's with this teamsl pops up its ugly head again. Thats the real issue.
We need another big Body on the team its as simple as that. Its not a Trae thing its an Atl gets small as hell in the front court against bigger teams when Porzingis isnt available thing.
Rebounding becomes an major issue. And Guarding the paint becomes a major issue.
Also the Hawks need another real Back-up PG.
JJ, Daniels, Alexander are not real PGs. Against real pressure or a team that actually plays haed nose defense they have a hard time getting into their sets.
This leads to late shot clocks, bad possession and TOs.
It happen in the Knicks game but they were so far ahead they won anyway and again just now against Toronto. They had nearly 8 TOs in the 4th qtr alone. And about 9 bad possessions.
The Hawks need Trae to get them into the offense, and Porzingis for size, defense and rebounding.
They need both guys for this vsrsion of the Hawks to be successful.
I see a consistent pattern of the hawks falling apart at the end of games when the intensity ramps up. For whatever reason there’s no toughness to this team and they play too nonchalant with lazy passes and not enough aggression to maintain ball control on offense when it’s crunch time.
jalen plays no D
Go Hawks!
The main players get nervous and butterfingery. Again, no closer
And this is why they need trae. When the y need a bucket its tough on them how do they think they're going to score in the playoffs without a real on ball threat
Trae trade gang when the hawks lose without Trae:
– "ummm… Fire the coach!"
Man, this defense today was horrible, and it was ALL Trae Young’s faul….oh wait, he didn’t play!!! Isn’t that something!! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The Hawks absolutely need size and toughness for the love of God go get some tall big bulky guys.
This happens every time they play the big physical teams.
Just like when they play Detroit.
Why can't they see they need to address this.
Big O can't be your only reliable big.
K.P. probably will never be available consistently.
Go get some big physical guys now.
Now now now.
in Q4 we have only 11 points. Talk about Defensive first so you want Hawks defend them by losing 10 points for win? Listen to me. Opponent not do that great defense. We just choke ourselves too easy. Same old problem. When someone miss, then next teammates keep follow misses. 5-6 plays miss in rows. No one could stop us (mistakes).
Coaching, Coaching, Coaching! That lineup that started the quarter had no chance. No scoring or playmaking at the beginning of the quarter.
Asa Newell hardly got a look, WHY IS HE NOT PLAYING
This is every reason why the Hawks need to dump Trae, Porzingis, and Kennard. This team is too small and an overall liability on defense. Teams know that the hawks are weak defensively and just eat up the paint and get second chance shots. They are no better with Trae on the floor because he is a bigger defensive liability and sometimes a turnover machine, but at the same time, the Hawks are a liability to themselves because the can't handle the ball without a real point guard. If the Hawks don't make a trade for support, they wont even make the play-in.
