A big downside to Keon Ellis is that he's a UFA at the end of the year. Thoughts on these 2 targets? Would love to hear your thoughts
Chill out! We're 25-10
Also, happy birthday, bonne fete Wemby!
We have Atlanta’s pick swap in 26 and their pick in 27, why can’t we package Jeremy Sochan to Atlanta for some better defenders? It really might be a better option even to hold those picks over Atlanta’s head and demand Jalen Johnson, he would be a perfect fit on the Spurs. The Spurs could also give Atlanta their future back, if they get their first round picks back, along with their pelicans pick they own, they could be a dynasty in the east. Works out for everyone
Theres zero percent chance wembanyama plays 65 games this season, playoffs not included.
Their three-point shooting is really bad, honestly. Even Vassell, Champagnie, and Barnes aren't reliable. Maybe Wemby should start shooting threes again, but they seem to want to develop him in the paint.
Ellis? Thats David Jones Garcia, that makes Zero sense, we need rebounding
Nah. We just need shooting development all across the board with our current guys.
Especially from castle, harper, bryant.
No, I do not think…..Wemby will play in at least 65 games this season.
its always a wide surface problem, not a deep hole, but many big holes that dont smoothen out the scoring for us
No Wemby wont hit the 65 game threshold. Spurs medical gonna err on the side of caution. Wemby needs to fill out more but that will come with time hopefully.
He won’t hit 65
Love the idea of Ellis and fleecing Sac-Town again👍🏀
Got people that can put the ball in the basket in Austin. DJG and Mangus. Send Carter and Waters in exchange
3 point shooting isnt that bad, as you said, but in the playoffs you don't have the luxury of having good and bad days shooting
I really hope we can get herb jones
N, but he will be healthy for the playoffs is my prediction
How about aj green from the bucks
Lets go ahead and get Jaren Jackson Jr!!! Bring him home where his dad won a ring! Trade Sochan,Olynick Vassell and a 1st!!!
Wemby needs to shoot more… bigs will have to come out of the paint to guard him and our guards are fast enough for cuts for free baskets at the rim
Jaylen wells should be playing for the spurs for perimeter defense
I dream of Jeremy Suckan being traded. I'm gonna be very happy when that materializes.
Hell no he can only miss 4 more games 😂
Hot take but i think Vic should continue to come off the bench until eveyone is healthy. I think his presence against the other teams 2nd unit is invaluable and tbh our starters are more than capable of outscoring any team for the first 8 minutes of a game. I think him playing 25-28 minutes, starting on the bench and ending with the starters is the most effective for the team
Sadly no he won't
Damn I'd love Ellis on the Spurs, he's a way better defender than you could imagine with the horrendous Kings
He'll be by far the best perimeter defender for the Spurs, shooting a league average 3P% (at worst) on the other side. I'll sign every day for a fair price (a protected FRP or/and few seconds)
Spurs could give back the first round pick swap with SAC (2031) they got for free for HB (salary dump)… just saying 😁
Like you, I don't say Ellis have starter potential, he's pretty limited on offense outside of shooting 3P (He's a little like Julian on that side of the ball) but his Defense and hustle are far far better than Sochan never was (so much fan overrated his mediocre D all those years…)
I suspect wemby will never play 65 games. Not built for it. However, if he is available for playoffs who cares about awards.
Sochan has zero value and Barnes absolutely sucks now
I would say no to Ellis. We already have Waters III, and Jones Garcia, if we gave those two guys 17.5 minutes a game, thier stats would both be better than Ellis. Might as well play the guys we have instead, so they get more experience.
Give DJG a chance. He's a scorer
Trade for lauri Markkanen, Murphy or H Jones
Spurs need physical players on positions 3 and 4, good and consistency at shooting (three point top). Vessel, Sochan could be traded ' Vessel can win a game alone… But the most of time he is inefficient defensively and inconsistent offensively… And his merchant value is high. Barnes will be good in play-off, he knows everything he must not be traded. Is someone want Champagnie, I agree too if it is for a physical defensive player with correct three shooting capacities.
