Why wouldn't somebody pay trae young 46M a year? He averaged 25ppg and 10apg for his career and hes in his prime hes definitely the type of guy you would pay that type of money
If I'm not mistaken, the Spurs can swap picks with ATL in the upcoming draft….. Can you imagine the absurdity of San Antonio getting another top lottery pick?
Its not Trae fault but he doesn't watch the Hawks 😢 they were bad the whole month of December and it started towards the end of November around the L to the Wizards. Its time to can Quin Snyder he's not a winner
If you trading Anthony Davis, you have to trade Kyrie too cause Kyrie getting older and he’s not trying to wait to get a championship you’re wasting his time
Trae should never have disrespected New York Knicks in MSG. Now he’s cursed.
It’s time for Trae Young to go or the ATL hawks go all in on a superstar like Giannis. Trae Young has proven to be an all-star and clutch player, but not the face of a championship franchise. Trae Young can’t be the best player on a championship team because you need another player to offset his defensive liabilities. Period! ATL Hawks blew the pick with Luka Doncic, so it’s time to stop treading water and blow it up.
Nobody wants Trae Young. No one. Unless the Hawks buy him out, and then he goes somewhere on a vet minimum, then you may see him generate more interest. But honestly, even on a vet minimum, you STILL may only see a handful of teams with interest. If I have my point guard room pretty well taken care of, why would I want to bring Young in? He’d be potentially taking valuable developmental time away from your younger guys, impacting your ability to assess players and whether they are part of the future. If you have a developed or developing system that Young doesn’t fit in, why would you bring him in? NOBODY wants him at that $46 million dollar player option. Until proven otherwise, Young won’t have any real trade value until he’s on an expiring contract, or a contending team loses one of their key playmakers. If he gets a buyout, then perhaps Milwaukee might be interested, since the latest reports insist that the Bucks are going to be buyers in what may be their latest (and possibly last) attempt at keeping Giannis.
Trae young is no longer the face of the Atlanta Hawks it is Jalen Johnson
The only small effective point guard in the league is Brunson
Size and length matters with regards to defense and passing lanes
I was at the TImberwolves game and Ant is the same height as Trae, so it's just a fact that Trae just doesn't have the skills to play pro ball. And since his shooting % is way down this year, to "average" then why are we keeping him? And PLEASE do not go from the frying pan to the fire with AD. I would rather just get rid of TY for zero back. We need his salary for JJ extension coming soon and future deals. Come on. Be smart. Will they? No.
I was always disappointed that "Street Clothes" caught on as the nickname for AD instead of Anthony "Day to Davis."
Trae Young isn’t good at all. I’ll be genuinely shocked if he has any trade value. Atlanta should have kept DeJuante Murray and traded Trae.
ROCKETS wud be a great fit
Fact is: The league wants Trae gone from Atl since 2021. They also do not want the Hawks to get similar value in a trade for him because it will only make Atl even better without him. What will happen is the media and everyone else will call Atlanta getting fleeced after the league and officials stop making him look bad in Atlanta and make him shine on a big market team: Doncic/Young, Tatum/Young, Wemby/Young, Jokic/Young etc. People want to watch these tandems on particular teams instead of new tandems on different. The league, outlets, media and several NBA fans need to grow up.
Sorry but that Pels pick ain’t going NOWHERE!
Donovan
Im from Atlanta not a huge hawks fan. But i can tell you for the love of god and all and anything holy. WE DO NOT WANT AD!!!! No
f$%king thank you.
Trae window kinda closed when fox went to SA instead of him. That was the EASIEST out for Trae young to have a long under the radar career. Being the robin to the Batman that only needs a person to space, shoot, and pass cause He’ll handle literally everything else.
It's gonna be so funny when Trae and AD, somewhere, somehow end up on the Clippers in 2 years 😂
Let him talk lady…you never played sports
She hates "unwritten rules" because they are dumb. Okay, so there's an unwritten rule that a man is not supposed to stare and gawk at other women when he's with his woman. According to Rachel, her husband can undress women with his eyes when he's with her…correct?!
Trae young is a beast man be playing without a team …they never played together alexander is new jalen johnson was hurt for a while ..they dumb of course the hawks will think they dont need trae..when the hawks won? 😂 ..trae to magic will take him and by the way 90% of the league play no defense i take 25 and 10 any day
Spurs have the roster to protect against Young's no defense. Spurs have the Hawks 2027 protected pick, too. So for Young, Spurs should trade Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell and his bloated contract and that 2027 pick.
Spurs could have drafted Hawks star Jalen Johnson. Look at how PATHETIC is the Spurs GM Brian Wright draft record.
To look good BW has to have a NO BRAINER draft pick (2023, 2024, 2025).
Cut the BS IF THE HAWKS TRADE FOR AD THEY WILL LOSE THE FAN BASE ESPECIALLY IF THEY TRADE THAT PICK
Rachel Nichols is talking basketball and making Chris Mannix look so uninformed.
Miss you Rachel in the NBA 😔 please comeback 🙏🙏🙏
The CBA agreement has ruined it for fans. Now GM's cant trade due to those aprons. Owners want their teams to win. So now it even hurts the players. Who wins in this scenario? The League is getting richer. Teams should be able to trade for who they need. It will start to lower what teams will pay the players. So the players lose.
