Gordon, Braun return NOT ENOUGH | MPJ Revenge in Nuggets Loss

No Jinx returns! Matt Moore and Ryan Blackburn break down the Denver Nuggets loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, a revenge game for Michael Porter Jr. in which the Nuggets were overwhelmed by the Nets’ size and shooting. Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun returned from injury, but it wasn’t enough against a surprisingly plucky Nets squad. Are the Nuggets in trouble without Nikola Jokic and Jonas Valanciunas? Matt and Ryan discuss.

  1. I'm a pessimist. However, when the schedule was released you said two things: 1) March is easy 2) January is tough. The Nuggets won't be a 40-20 team because of injury – which is unique because of the injuries all in a short span of time, but these injuries are 4-5 week things and all of them return for the easy March. I really think these next 3 weeks will suck but relax.

  2. I honestly didn’t understand this conversation. Matt is saying that this isn’t terrible and that things will get better, while at the same time saying that, historically speaking, the chances of winning a ring this year are basically nonexistent (40–20, top 3). Guys, that is exactly why the fans are frustrated – because of the loss of any real championship ambition, not because of a few losses in January. We know Denver will make the playoffs, whether as the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th seed; that’s not the issue. What is an issue is that this many injuries are killing any realistic expectation of winning the title this year. And that’s where all the fans’ frustration comes from.

Anyways, love your show – all the best to both of you, just keep it going.

  3. I would much rather see the Nuggets face OKC in the first round. Also, CB hasn't played well even before the injury. Unless his 3 point shot improves significantly and soon, that contract will prove to have been catastrophic.

  4. It's sad to see young guys not have consistent energy… Like they play 2 games really well then they out of it for the next number of games
