It's painfully obvious KAT is the weak link on this team. He balled out last season on the offensive end but has taken a HUGE step back this year. Add to the fact he is statistically one of the worst defenders in the league…..makes for a horrible combination. Knicks need to entertain trades for him to upgrade defensively. Honestly did not like the trade to begin with but accepted it after KAT balled out last season but if we're going to make it to the next level we NEED a strong defensive presence.

KAT is a very soft player with a low basketball IQ he will never change. Let's hope our wing players will supplement his buffoonery on the court.

We lost because Mike brown. He didn’t play his bench like the other games. I truly feel if diawara was playing more he could have shut down champgnie. I’m telling you he would have? Thru ate the same exact size! I felt like you could have had McCullar jr playing him. You saw what happen before that jump ball. McCullar hawked it from him. He looking like who is that ? We lost because of Mike brown and his lack of rotating. No matter what the rotations must stay consistent for the system to work!

For the life of me I don’t understand why people hate one player so much, especially when this game was lost due to horrible 3 point defense on one player. Also OG scoring 9 points and Bridges 13 and the caller is screaming about Yabusele.
Great podcast, spurs played a tough game. The only thing that irked me was y'all saying "Justin" Champagnie (brother on the wizards) rather than "Julian" Champagnie (spurs). Great podcast though.
I hate the fact that we beat them when it didn't matter but they beat us when it did… I'm putting this loss on Coach Brown. This is back to back games he made questionable decisions with his rotations in the 4th. Against the Pels, OG was FIGHTING with Zion big ass and was doing his work. They sit Zion down at like the 8 min mark and instead of Brown sitting down OG to rest, he kept him in there most of the time Zion was out. We still got off with the win but it would've been a lot smarter to rest OG with Zion in the 4th. OG was visibly tired and you also saw it when Kolek tried to toss him an ally, he didn't have the energy to really get up for it. Same thing last night with JC. JC was doing his thing, but he had him in there way too long. Yes he was scoring, but the great thing about this time is we have scoring just about every where, especially with the young boys eating. It's not like JC was in some type of Mamba mode. We should've been took him out and brought in someone for defense. Duece saw what the young kids was doing since he was out and he said "don't touch my minutes"! Duece shooting looked automatic since he's been back. Him or Diawara should've been in the game… I don't understand why Brown doesn't go with Diawara to close out games. He can clearly score and shoot the 3 better than Josh. I think he plays better defense than Josh and he's like 7ft. I just don't understand the mentality. To me, Diawara has shown me enough in those few games, we need to be using his skills more.

From the time when the Knicks got Kat, I've commented numerous times that they will never win a championship with him. And that that trade was the worst in Knicks history. There is such parity in the league that maybe I will be proven wrong, but more likely I am right. The Knicks have the same defensive problems as last year and Thibs couldn't solve them. So don't expect Brown to solve them. They still can't defend the 3. Beasely hit 6 3s against them, then White did the same, then Nemhardt hit 7 3s against them. Shamefully bad defense in the playoffs. This year is more of the same. And it will continue. And the bench won't help much because Kolek and Clarkson are bad defenders. The FO opted not to address the defensive problems.
They need to trade Kat for a player who can score less but give them great defense and more athleticism.
Knicks may have problems in the playoffs. They can't stop teams from scoring, even bad and mediocre teams like NO, the Mavs and Hawks without Porsingis. They let these teams hang around until the end of the game, giving them a chance to win. They could lose a short series. I could see the Heat, Magic, Detroit and maybe the Celtics beating them, if these teams improve from now to the playoffs.
I've been saying for a while. The wing position is fine for us. The wings worth getting are out of our price range. A consistent rim protector solves/helps our 3pt defense since we won't have to provide so much paint help. we can put kat at the 4 where his hands aren't as active. Kat can dominate most 4s but not most 5s. It would truly anchor the defense. Gafford would be ideal. It's a bit of a calculation but doable.
Really wish we played McCullar more, he had it.
Look for the Celtics to trade for a center that will enable them to compete for the division and do well in the playoffs.
Kat have to wake up and lock in or he’s can pack his 💼
