Heat president Pat Riley will need to decide between Norman Powell and Tyler Herro on the long-term outlook of this Heat roster. Herro and Powell are both looking for a contract extension; both fill the same role on the Heat and Miami doesn’t need both of them. Tyler Herro has appeared in just six games this season and is eligible for a 4-year, $207 MM contract extension beginning in July.

Powell is the most consistent pure scorer the Heat had since Dwyane Wade and that's a fact!💯 He's undoubtably an all str this yer!
"no one saw this coming" I did :). I drafted him in all my fantasy drafts and made some bets about him prior to season start. It wasn't difficult to foresee, imo! if you've watched his game and the fact that this dude was the 3rd scoring option after harden and kawhi and avg 20+ ppg. I predicted a big pop off because we lack scoring options, and I assumed he'd only be 2nd to Herro. and I knew with Herro not being ready at start of season, that norman would HAVE to be our #1 option.

I think we should wait till the end of the year see how it all shakes out if you can get Tyler Hero on the cheap skis if Norman Powell could be a first-time All-Star 32-33 Tyler hero can definitely squeeze out one or two more All-Star appearances on a cheaper deal than paying Powell a rich contract this late in his career for one All-Star appearance the last year or two of Powell's contract is probably going to be not great
