  1. MAILBAG: Jason, do you really feel no responsibility at all for what you're saying? You were insisting so hard on marginalizing LeBron, you were saying he doesn't deserve to be an All Star, you were criticizing LeBron the way you don't criticize any other player, to the point that you were rude and unbearable (except for LeHaters obviously). And now all of a sudden the Lakers need LeBron at the All NBA level ??? Yes, he took a few games to ramp up after not playing or training for several months, imagine that. šŸ˜šŸ™„ You wrote him off. And you were too quick to write him off. And now you're acting like nothing happened. šŸ™„ This is not the first time you did this, you went on to request that the Lakers blow up the team mid season because they were not good enough and trade away LeBron and AD. You keep doing that with LeBron and with LeBron only and no other player gets that kind of treatment from you. Then you just act like nothing's happened, carry on and go out and keep claiming you're a LeBron fan. šŸ™„ You're not. In fact, LeBron James is the player you've been the most unfair to so far.

  2. I disagree Jaylen haven’t been doing this for one month he’s really been doing it for the whole season they just winning more so it’s show more emphasis.

  3. SHAI IS NOT Performing like a reigning M V P, the numbers are dwindling especially at the free throw line his trajectory is lower as he is not driving fearlessly with intensity like his nemesis EDWARDS, MAXEY, BRUNSON, and not shooting many 3 points being hesitant without confidence, a j Mitchell is the only player that the thunder have has evolved the supporting cast don’t have the dexterity of putting the ball in the basket,

  4. The way the Suns/Thunder game started (with Phx missing everything) I thought they were gonna get stomped by 49 AGAIN. Wild game.

  5. Mailbag:

Genuine question. I know there hasn't been enough data to make definitive statements like the one I'm about to ask you, but I do want to ask the question regardless having watched the Celtic very closely this year because Jalen is now the leader of the team do you feel that Jalen brown is a better face of the franchise than Jason really it doesn't matter in the long term but I find it interesting to discuss and wanted your honest opinion

  6. MAILBAG: Would love to hear your thoughts on what trade the Celtics should look for. Zubac is apparently not an asset the Clippers are willing to give up, and I have heard mixed things about the availability of Gafford or Claxton. I think all of those guys could be a great fit, but obviously not sure what package the other teams would be looking for in return. Anfernee Simmons definitely carries some value, and he could definitely be packaged with picks and some bench guys like Hauser or Schierman. Ideally, in any of these trades, I would like to see the Cs keep Hugo Gonzales and Jordan Walsh, but not sure how realistic that is. What are your thoughts?

  7. Anthony Edwards averaging 30 and no where near top 10 in FTA. Ethical hooper. Take out his injury game and hes gotta be at what, 31-32+ PPG? I hope MN makes a run and he gets some legit MVP discussion with Joker out. Feel like the media would rally behind a USA born guy, but they gotta move up in the standings. They are sooo good when they are locked in. Ant has been surgical this season.

  8. MAILBAG Q: How much of 'good defense' is physical gifts? How much of it is effort? How much of is it knowledge? Could someone with very limited physical gifts become a good defender if he has good knowledge and hustle? Appreciate your show – you and your team clearly work your butts off to create such polished content. Thank you!

  9. MAILBAG: In an attempt not to overreact to spurs beating OKC three times I feel people went the other way and are now sleeping on the Spurs. How are you supposed to beat a team that does not allow shots around the rim and even mid range pull ups four times in a playoff series? Are we just betting that Wemby gets hurt or the moment gets too big for their young squad?

  10. Great show. People love to trash the modern NBA, but the main reason we don’t have real ā€œdynastiesā€ anymore is because of its incredible adaptability today. Teams have that season alone to stump other teams with a so called dominant offensive/defensive style. Brooks is a perfect example, MJ, Kobe and LeBron all constantly adapted their game. Now, you see most players Brooks, Ant, Wemby, Haliburton…everyone is working on improving their liabilities. That’s why I believe the worst advice fans give Luka is to ā€œnot change, the Lakers knew you didn’t play defense from the start.ā€ Terrible advice.

  11. Saying he’s only been doing this for one month is crazy. In my opinion he’s been the MVP but all people want to talk about is SGA and the PRA merchants (Jokic Luka and Giannis). It almost like the candidates were pre determine or something before the season started

  12. 23:15 I want to know why Jokic is viewed that way. Where are the deep post season runs and things like that to justify this best in the world claims? Jalen Brown has the same, well better post season resume than Jokic.

  13. 23:10 I’m sorry this has completely rattled me. Jokic who takes no responsibility as the rim protector on defense. Continuously underachieving with early exits in the post season after being labeled the best in the world. You can’t sit there a say Jaylen Brown should look at Jokic. The only lesson he could learn is playing less defense gets you more credit from NBA YouTube analyst

  14. 23:23 So let me get this straight Jaylen Brown has to sustain this(like he hasn’t alm seasonšŸ™„), despite people like yourself completely downplaying and undervaluing it all year until now? But People like Luka Jokic Brunson can play one side of the basketball and get acknowledged all the time every season ? Is this the MVP or an award for offensive guy with minimum defensive effort ?

  15. Mailbag: as okc leaves corner shooters open, sometimes teams get really hot. I know it’s their identity but I feel like when Jordan Goodwin makes 8 corner threes maybe change it up. It’s happened multiple times this season, and daignult sticks with the same scheme

  16. MAILBAG : Do you really think joker is the best player in the nba ? Cuz that would mean you think his offense outweighs guys like giannis shai & wembys offense & defense. I got joker #2 or 3 behind giannis for sure and maybe shai because I just don’t think jokers offense outweighs their great offense & DEFENSE when joker is objectively bad on defense , I just value guys who play both sides of the ball instead of just 1 side

  17. The thing with JB is he's been this guy for a while. Opportunity matters. Team scheme being built around your skill set matters. In years' past when he was the 1, he was basically asked to play JT's role and thus playing a role that wasn't really built for him. Now he IS playing a role built for him… Of course he's made improvements from last year, but this incredible jump is more about the opportunity and scheme adjustment than anything else. Super happy for him.

  18. MAILBAG: I've been thinking about the distinction between ceiling-raising and floor-raising players, and I'd love to hear your perspective on how this framework applies to building championship contenders. Specifically, I'm curious about Luka Doncic, there's a narrative that he's more of a floor-raiser who elevates mediocre rosters to respectability through his individual brilliance and usage rate, but that his style might actually limit a team's ceiling compared to players who raise their teammates' effectiveness more directly.

But there's another layer here: his defensive limitations. Luka's consistently poor defense seems like it imposes a structural ceiling on any team he anchors. I'm wondering if it's even feasible to build an elite defense around him, or if the Lakers are locked into a Jokic-style blueprint where you accept middling defense as the trade-off for historically great offense. The difference is Jokic's offensive impact might be even more transcendent and his defensive positioning, while not great, isn't quite as exploitable.

Do you think there's validity to this concern? When I look at recent champions, they seem to have that true ceiling-raiser as their best player—guys who make everyone around them better in ways that scale up in the playoffs. Does Luka's heliocentric offensive approach, as effective as it is, create a ceiling problem when you're trying to optimize a roster with multiple high-level talents? Or is this entire framework overstated, and winning a championship is really just about having enough top-end talent regardless of play style? Would love to hear you break down whether this distinction actually matters for Laker's championship hopes.
