Pergaps AD and Rich Paul need to accept the Facts. His Client isnt worth that type of money anymore due to injury history. Not til he proves otherwise. Maybe, just maybe AD should go the Kyrie route and take a lot less if he's happy here, like a 40M/yr contract and take a sizeable cut and work with the FO. Then he gets what he apparently wants by "staying here in Dallas" still getting more money a year than he could ever spend in a lifetime. Dallas gets Salary cap space in the future to bring even more talent in to surround him Kyrie and Flagg and build a real Contender. Newsflash Rich. You don't Dictate what his Market is. He is under Contract of at least one more year prob 2. Somehwere along the way Agents got in in their heads they call the shots and determine when and how negotiations go.

I wouldn’t max out AD, but you guys do realize the team made him sit more games than he wanted? That means they won’t use it against him in any negotiations unless they want to damage their rep with players.
If he could play 55-60 games a season it will be fine and we tank and get 3 true 7 pick from draft but who knows

I will never forgive the Mavs for betraying Luka. They will be cursed for decades. The basketball gods will never forgive them and neither will I.
AD is amazing when he is healthy and does give the Mavs a winning edge, but to ask for a max is asking for too much.
Plz trade him. The only way he stays is if he takes a massive pay cut then I’d say yes. Dont give a part time player a max contract. Not up to me though
Yet, the idea of trading him for Lamelo Ball, who hasn't played more than 55 games in any of his 6-7 years in the league, was a potential move in y'alls eyes how many weeks ago? In fact, in the other seasons he's been in the league, he didn't even get close to his top year of 55 games in a season.

He's asking for 60M, since he only plays half the games, Dallas should only offer 30M, that's where negotiations should start. We know his camp won't accept that starting point but giving him near max levels is financially irresponsible for the Mavs

That deal wouldn't make any sense! Oh wait a minute… it's the franchise that traded Luka after talking with one team and got the NBA equivalent of a broken down mini man and several bags of peanuts. What a joke…. I still follow y'alls updates (think Locked on Mavs is a great broadcast), but I just don't care what the Mavs do anymore. I stopped watching, rooting, and following them after their poor handling of the Luka trade. R.I.P to what had been 1 of my 2 favorite sports teams since when I was a middle schooler. 😭
