Alex Saratsis tried to pressure the Bucks into dealing Giannis a year early, via these media stooges. It blew up in his face. One of the most disastrous agent/media attempts to influence the market in the history of the NBA.
There is practically no need for agents, beyond this little secret smear/pressure campaigns they do. Literally have no impact on a players market value, players association could cut out the middleman here if the chose to.
Warriors handling of Kuminga should end the "sign" for the sole purpose getting an asset back, after completely screwing over JK should be the end of that sort of teams are owed an asset for everything.
Players and teams should play out their deals first contract, second, and then if a team and player don't agree on a role/number, give players agency again to sign for a better fitting team. The reason JK is screwed is because the Warriors were simultaneously downplaying his value to under pay him, and also somehow get a bigger piece to help keep Steph afloat. The real reason they are in a bind is paying Steph, Dray and Jimmy at that age puts them in NBA purgatory.
