DISGUSTED: Orlando Magic Effort COLLAPSES vs Wizards — WHO IS TO BLAME?
The Orlando Magic stumbled in a costly 120-112 loss to the Washington Wizards as they once again failed to put forth an acceptable effort. The Magic have had many of these games that do not meet their standard, only finding it too late after Jamahl Mosley benched his starters down 26 points.
Is this something they can solve with the impending returns of Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs? Or are there deeper issues in the team that Molsey cannot solve before the end of the season? How do the Magic find consistency and rediscover their identity?
The deep bench players, especially Jase Richardson, Jett Howard and Noah Penda, helped the Magic find their way cutting that large deficit to two points. But the team found that effort far too late.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.. Players fault, injuries issues 🤦🏽♂️🤣 same old story with you Phil. Coach Mosley is the ISSUE. There is a tracking record for the past five seasons Coach Mosley has not performed well.
If Mosley is not in the convo of being fired, I don’t know what needs to be seen the last few years. He can’t run an offense's cant run a pick and roll, can’t get players in their hot spots, can’t run a play two times in a row in the half court, who knows what the play or strategy should be game to game, plan to play. He just doesn’t know or doesn’t care. It’s not the players or roster, heart been for years… better coaches have been fired for less…
Totally agree. We need a coach upgrade to hit our goals and pull in the reigns but at the same time these players have to look themselves in the mirror and make a decision to try. Front office did their part after years of building to this theres zero excuse
Team is starting to crumble.
If Mosley had shown any hint of being able to install a coherent offense in the last 5 years, I’d blame the players more but imagine your an NBA player and the coach goes, “alright guys, I don’t know what to tell you, go score”. That’s basically his offense. Gimme a break.
Once I saw the way black handle that first position after receiving the catch from the tip ball I figure something wasn't good body language look lousy…that first position was a turnover and it happened from Black starting the first play of the game lazy even though banchero turn the ball over it started with black lazy demeanor…am expecting him to catch that ball and go so that they can set the tone for the game instead they walk the ball up court doing lackadaisy handoffs with lackluster energy…tyus banchero bane black Wendell bitadze all had bad body language while Richardson Isaac penda Howard or any from the bench had good effort

well didn’t watch the game since the magic are my second team since I got family in orlando and have attended 2 handful of games but im a die hard Heat fan but it looked to me like the one thing that has come from this magic season looking from afar is black & as of tonight richardson breaking out,knew that would happen since the magic are way too deep on paper
The starters are playing too much leading to fatigue and reduced intensity after compensating for so many injuries. That bench group needs a lot more minutes in every game until the Magic are healthy.
A coach losing the locker room is something that happens all the time in team sports. Firing Mosley is the only way to get out of it.

Paulo is a great player just seems to chill out there. I dont think his body will let him run with the more aggressive players… he needs those energetic players back in the rotation to inspire and distract from his stamina issues.
Magic seems to play down to the opponent's level. How else are they able to compete and beat elite teams and struggle with the mediocre ones.
First time in the whole Magic I’m tuning myself out from watching games. Magic will never be championship until they eat a show stopper in the middle at center.
Teams just drive Drive Drive Drive drive drive and no one to make them think twice didn’t they have a habit of leaving the three-point shooter that spot up to go stop someone scoring a two only to see a kick out to a three-point shooter shooting a open three . I never see a team that gives up threes trying to stop it two point score

i think we really need players like Franz, suggs and Mo. I think they might realize players like Cole anthony who just brought positive energy to the court is was needed more than just a couple extra buckets. The Team chemistry just feels off sometime if we dont have that reliable player bringing energy to the court. I love Paulo but he is just not that guy and when he is on the court i feel other role players take a backseat to let him work his game… sometimes that "Catalyst" of energy is more important than a boxscore.
Phillip this game to me has solidified what I’ve been commenting. Coach Mo has lost this locker room. The body language shows it. Injuries and lack of talent isn’t the issue. We have talent, the inability of the head coach to give them a sense of direction is.
I think Paolo will be to the Magic what Trae Young has been for the Hawks , I “personally “ don’t think he is “our” franchise guy. This from a 12 year Season Ticket Holder. Something is definitely “off” with him , I don’t know think he is happy, something has changed.

It's obvious it's more of an effort than a skill or coaching thing. If 3rd stringers can come back from down 26 because of their effort then our starters need to buy into this coaching like the 3rd stringers do.
Will Franz and Suggs (injury prone) help the Magic? I think it's safe to say that Jalen NEEDS to stay healthy the rest of the year or else it's time to look at potentially moving him.
U can't blame Mosley for this game cause he had the same strategy when the second unit came in why did they look good like the game last week when they lost a 21 point lead Mosley had the same strategy when they went up 21 points then all of a sudden he can't coach when they lost the lead…I'm not a Mosley fan but the max players set the tone

Tre jones got 28 minutes with 3 points. 28 MINTUES!!! The bench was dead tired in the 4th and you don’t want to give the starters a chance to win against the WIZARDS? They started bad OK give them the chance to come back and WIN THATS WHAT WE PAY THEM FOR.
None of us made the rules but when u win we praise the max players when they lose we gonna blame the max that's just how it is
No matter if he sat the starters to send a message, or knew it was over and wanted to rest them, there is a deep deep issue that guys coming back from injury are not going to fix. If you don’t want to play for this team, get rid of em. I don’t care who they are or if it’s the coach but I am so tired of caring about my team more than the damn players. There was no message sent! They don’t care
I miss the team that played with heart and missed a ton of three’s. I LOVED that team. At least they gave a shit
Time to bench Mosley for his effort
I have given props to Mosley for making our stars buy into his defensive game plan, the next man up thing, that we are dogs that don't give up and fight till the last minute. With all that I overlooked some of his tactical inefficiencies. We haven't seen that this season, like at all. So the only option is to let him go. Immediately if we got someone good in mind. Budenholzer, Malone, Stotts, Thibodeau, Jenkins. These seem like good alternatives
In addition to our horrific coaching and trash effort, the other thing that drives me nuts, is I wholeheartedly believe with every ounce of my being that both wagners (def Moe) are ready to play certainly by tonight and prob sooner, but we’re waiting until Friday or Berlin because we want the WWE style theatrics moment of their return at home…we’re leaking oil in a gettable stretch of the schedule and we’re more concerned about theatrics than winning games. Cannot convince me otherwise.

I think it’s a combination of many issues that factor in. I think coaching is definitely at the top of the list; I also think that as a Paolo fan he’s just not the type of leader I would want in a winning team. He doesn’t galvanize guys and shows very little effort. Guys will always follow their leader and there’s definitely a lack of leadership on the court..
