“Atlanta Hawks All-Star Trae Young and his agents, Aaron Mintz, Drew Morrison and Austin Brown, are working with the franchise on a trade, sources tell ESPN. Young’s reps and the Hawks have started collaborative talks over the last week on finding a resolution.”
Young has only appeared in 10 games this season due to injury. The disconnect between Young and Atlanta began when the Hawks didn’t offer Trae a new contract extension in the offseason.

My issue is Davion isn't TOO much better or different than Dru Smith in many respects. If Kas is going to get any pt, we need a starting PG, and get rid of either Dru or Davion 💯
Incoming the Bam hate
Please god no. I lived in ATL in 2022. Young looks like an eighth grader, throws up more airballs than you can imagine, gets pushed around, no defense. Worst fit possible for Heat.
They have to move on from Bam, but Trae isn’t the guy to do it with

this team the way is constructed isn't going nowhere. with bam 52 mln next year it's very hard co make championship team. we don't want go for rebuild so we need to take risk and make shocking move. this should be trading herro for young. finally after that trade wigins and bam can play how they want to play. wiggins don't need to create offense and can foucs on defending, cutting and make threes. trae can help activate our bigs wchich now they are basically usless on ofense. with lineup of trae, powell, wiggins, bam and ware trae can have ball in his hands almost all the time becasue besides powell no one is good for creating their own shoot or playmake.
just trade herro and rozier for trae and kennard and maybe 1 first round pick and i will be very happy with that. remember this team this season is going nowhere.

FYI.. Trae has made it to the playoffs 3 times in his career. Herro has never missed the playoffs. Herro took Trae out to prevent him from getting to the playoffs the last 2 seasons.. so it’s not like a Bam getting carried by Jimmy situation
Yes bcuz Miami-Heat need a real point guard, play maker.Trae is a bucket and a play maker.
Until you are able to hold Bam to the same standards you hold Herro to you are just showing your bias.
This team isn't going anywhere, it's mediocre, this front office needs to move on from Tyler Herro, get a true offensive PG, move Davion to the bench and get another big… probably Zion??
If he's a #3 why is he a max player. Bam is not the Heats #1. Even on this play-in team Bam's the 3rd option. If we had a Strong front office they would trade Bam.
@heatreport we tend to forget, coaches also follow what the gm/FO tells them to, I mean, lol, why else would Coach Kidd tell his mavs to play bad that one season in the final games to draft high? Cuz Cuban (and holy moly, Nico) advised him to. My point, at one point does Spo question Pat? So for all those saying Team USA is going to be small, Grant Hill AIN'T Pat. The coach works with what they get if not got. But they certainly should have a voice in it.
One more thing, the only other reason I'd get Trae is cuz he looks like someone who knows who's smart enough that he has the balls the question the coaching staff, and at times it might be necessary if you wanna win.
