This narrative that the Hawks are better without Trae is nonsense. They beat bad teams in November and have played under 500 since December 1st. Trae didn't get back on the court til the week before Xmas and hes only been in a couple of games since then.

Haven’t listen to the podcast in a few months and 5 mins in I remembered why I stopped. Bontemps is insufferable as hell.
I think it's clear the Thunder have been suffering from a decrease in motivation after realizing the regular season wins record is not realistically within reach anymore. Shai is also not getting the same whistle he did at the beginning of the season, rightfully so. Hartenstein missing time has really hurt them as well.
I think other teams got sick of seeing the media hype them up as the greatest thing since sliced bread after their hot start. Every night the Thunder's opponent is giving them their best effort, which happens to all defending champs tbf, but the last few weeks it seems like something extra.

It’s funny that these clowns can say that the pistons embarrassed the Cavs, who only lost by 4 pts missing their center & important guys too. Yet, when the Cavs 1st saw Detroit in Detroit this season, Cavs blasted them with Duren & Stewart, made them look small, Mobley & Jarrett dominated them, while missing keys guys like Darius, that’s never mentioned. I understand Duren is huge, but missing Jarrett, Dean & Strus looks a lot difference for size. But, sugarcoat the Knicks getting embarrassed & basically routed by the pistons. I played that game for like 4 years and during my MyPlayer career, I was playing Boston in the playoffs I believe and Rondo had 6 fouls and they didn't kick him out the game. He played with six fouls and I always assumed its because he was apart of one of my game goals I had to reach. I ended up losing that game and had to reset everything

Oh, please! The Thunder aren’t “struggling.” Wow—they lost two games in a row to inferior teams. It’s the NBA—any team can beat any other team on any given night. Teams have good games, teams have bad games. Every team has talent. It’s a long season, and there are always ebbs and flows. Ups and downs. Do people really expect the Thunder not to lose games? Spoiler: they’ll lose more games before the postseason even gets here. But make no mistake—OKC is still the best team in the league, hands down!

I’m gonna say this again, let’s talk about Trey want to go to Washington it’s not gonna happen and I’ll tell you why it makes no sense. It’s pretty simple. Washington has always had great offense in the past. Even this season has been defense. Try can’t play a liquor defense so that’s not gonna work second while the witches are not trading a first round pick this year they’re trying to take one more year because we’re trying to make sure we don’t lose our pic to New York. OK this all seasons when you might see the witches do something after the draft but they’re not gonna do it before the draft. This is a rebuild. You’re not gonna take a 45 minute million dollar player when you’re trying to rebuild you got two guys who are on expiring contracts, which is gonna be a ton of money in their free and used to go get a player in the off-season who want to they could pay that would be a good player. It makes no it makes sense for Atlanta. It makes it for trade, but it makes no sense for Washington so this idea the widgets trading one one or two those expiring cards are Young player and a draft pay to get Trae Young makes absolutely no sense for the wizards and what they’re trying to do. The wizards are trying to re-replicate what Oklahoma is done because that’s where all the people come and they built their team on defense. The best thing for a trade to do is go to a team that already has that defensive structure team already in place that you can trade him to that will ask him the distance is that offensive threat to help helping app help camouflage trays defensive deficiencies so none of this makes sense. He does not need to be going to Washington there are a few teams that you could trade to, which would make sense just not Washington.
Once again that you’re not trading for Trae Young they’re not giving up assets and they need the best thing for the witches to do is to keep that $80 million so they can go get one or two big-time players off-season who would wanna come to Washington and play with a good young core and build you’re not gonna go trade for a flaw player and get 45 me of your of your mind leave no flexibility I take care of all that flexibility that you have. It makes no sense for the wizard to do something like that. They’re trying to build a defensive minded type of team in Washington so just doesn’t make sense. The witches are probably gonna trade militant and McCullough but they’re gonna look to trade them to add more future players and try to get young players more so they come this off-season. They can use all that Cap flexibility to get the players they need to put themselves in position to try to win. It’s not this season it’s next year they cannot afford to get better because they need to make sure they guaranteed that that first round pick otherwise they lose to the Knicks and then where they got and then everything they’ve done is for not.
Trae says he would prefer Wizards(DC)…. this is just so he can stay near ATL, he don't want to go to a contender, someone that will depend on him!

The new apron is bringing back some common sense to how much second tier players are being paid. The superstars should make max money but giving 2 players on every team the max is an insult to the true greats. In no universe should Trae get paid anywhere near what Giannis, Joker, Shai get paid.
