  1. If you get AD and want the best out of him, you can really only play him for no more than half the season. Him as the starting center for the Raptors in the playoffs would be nice. No long term extension though, absolutely not. If somehow we could get Kel'el Ware, that'd be better tho. Even a Jaren Jackson Jr. Sabonis wouldn't be bad either but he's still recovering from a partially torn meniscus.

  2. Have y'all lost your mind? Anthony Day-to-Davis is not a reliable get man and Alex McKechnie is probably overworked at this point holding this team together with bandages. We don't need AD, we need any halfway decent serviceable big. Besides AD doesn't like playing the 5 so the dude is coming to Toronto to basically big foot Scottie or play off the bench when Scottie is taking a breather. Either way that is overpaying for something we already have which is Scottie. Great that AD doesn't mind coming to Toronto but then again he did flake on Pelicans for the big market so who's to say his stint in Toronto is just a pivot to New York or Boston after rehabbing here for a year on the bench. If they're on a fire sale maybe Daniel Gafford is up for grabs, I keep hearing Sabonis is on the market how come we're not in those conversations? We can do better … I like to just keep it simple. What are the areas we need to strengthen up on? Either the Center or the PG or both need replacing. We need to figure out is Poetl on the mend, can CMB + Scottie + Mamu enough to cover those minutes? For PG is Shead the next man up we can ride with as a starter? If IQ is traded is there a 24 to 32 year old PG available with equivalent skills (I knew we should have kept Davion). Do we have a backup for PG besides Shead or a backup Center besides Bamba (on his 10days)? That is a matrix of questions that need answering and the answers to those essentially make the direction of what to acquire make sense … as well the cap space considerations. Also what are the pieces we can give away and keep the team dynamics going. On that part I'm optimistic because Ochai, Gradey, Mogbo, IQ, Poetl are essentially pieces we can move around right now without damaging the core of the team. Now IQ and Poetl will have more dramatic effect if traded but that is with the idea that we get something back that reasonably fills that role. Lastly the way trades go you seldom never get back an equivalent piece so giving away a big means you get back a PG while giving away a PG means you get back a center … doesn't work out that way all the time just like for like is more rare in these instances. So I think Bobby has to consider which is worth keeping between Jakob and IQ … and that is a far harder answer IMHO. It all depends on how chronic Poetl's back pain is tbh and whether this is IQ's ceiling because I'm not sensing a year over year improvement from him.

  3. Just more Rich Paul posturing. Rich Paul is notorious for throwing his clients names out there as trade bait to the Raptors to gain attention from the rest of the league. This is nothing but a jedi mind trick and you folks who are supposed to no better are falling for it hook, line and sinker. Come on Raptors fan act like you have some strong minded intelligence and stop allowing these outsiders to gas light you.

  4. Not even sure the trade works with RJ. I think it might require IQ. Which is preferable

  5. They can have IQ and a draft pick but there is not much else I would give up for a guy who doesnt want to play C and is made of glass… Otherwise… That is a big No Thank You!😮

  6. anyone but scottie goes the other way, we good. AD's upside potential outweighs the injury risk and the contract exposure imo. Chances like this don't come around, east is ripe for the taking, let's push the chips in and bring him in. They won't trade Kyrie they'll wait for him to recover and build around cooper

  7. Raptors have a great record with RJ barrett. You can't trade IQ lest we be left with literally just jamal shead as the sole point guard of the team. Anthony Davis healthy is a dream match if we are being honest. 1 huge concern we have regards the inconsistency of the center position.. only issue with Davis is.. he is inconsistent. He is also being paid 60 million dollars for how uncertain he is to be on the court. I'd prefer to lean towards developing or trading for a young 7 footer.

  8. IQ + Jak + JMo = AD + Brandon Williams + Ryan N who is on 2 way. We would likely have to do an Ochai and Gradey trade for some additional PG Depth.

  9. He missed 27 games in 2025 with various lower body injuries (groin, calf, achilles, adductor, thigh, leg, foot, plantar, ankle, abdomen)

  10. I don't understand why Toronto would want AD. Yes, he is an upgrade to Jakob but he is injury prone. They have to give up quite a bit to get him and we'll be back to what we have now and we might have to give up RJ to get AD.
