The Wizards should not want to get rid of their young team, they are finally on a decent run and have been better in the last 10 games than the Thunder. Giving Trae 40 million to tank is not worth it, I hope the Wizards learned from Beal and don't just give an All Star everything he wants.

We're only absorbing his contract if the Hawks include draft capital. Dawkins is playing chess while the other gms plin rebuild mode are playing checkers. Literslly turned Beal's max contract with a no trade clause into trae young without losing draft picks (but instead collecting more) and gaining cap space by shedding salary through expiring contracts. We have financial freedom, draft picks, all we need is our pg and another big either through the draft or by trade or a combinatuon of both. Rebuild will be offically done by the Summer of 26. Losing Deni kinda sucked but rest assured, Dawkins is cookin.
