I don't know who needs to read this from the Ringer, but literally nobody likes Logan and this show would 10x its views without him. Maybe he's a great producer or vibes guy, but he doesn't really make this show watchable
Why are people so confused? We can simply do what Toronto did with BI last year, lose, get the pick, give Trae his money so we don’t hit the salary floor and reshape the team for at least a play-in run next year
This was a low-risk gamble for the Wizards, and they will continue to tank enough to keep their pick this year. Seems straightforward to me. Also, John Wall is beloved in DC for embracing the city and the things he did in the community outside of basketball.
Weird who Bill decides to keep and let go at the Ringer.
he will not play till next year duh
His defense is on him. Plenty of "short" players who play awesome defense by being quick, trying, and being in the way. Wallace, Prichard, go down the list. Fun question. Would you rather have them, or trae?
Isn't Atlanta's long-term play to line things up so they can pounce if Minnesota hits the wall and Ant asks out?
SALARY FLOOR not hard to understand
They made the trade now because CJ was winning games for the Wiz (like 6 out of the past 11) so the tank was in jeopardy vs, Trae in street clothes/playing his crappy D. (I would have held out for a swap of the Cleveland pick for the OKC pick and a few seconds)
These two sound really silly. The plan is obvious that they’re NOT going to play Trae Young a lot this season. Next season, with their lottery pick, adding Trae, they’re gonna try and be competitive and he helps given their lack of a PG.
They also don’t have to extend him. He can get them to 500 next season and then let him walk.
If Dawkins and Winger have made all the right moves so far, what on earth makes you think they’re going to play Trae enough to ruin their pick.
CJ wasn’t gonna be around another season. The team has ONE player on a non rookie deal now, Champagnie. They need to hit the salary floor and still have $40M left over this summer even if they keep Trae.
The Wizards sorta have Trae bent over a barrel. They don’t have to extend him. He won’t play much this year. He can play next year and try to show he has evolved and is ready for another payday.
He’s basically on a prove it deal.
So they think the Wizards are delusional trading for Trae but then spend a whole segment talking about Giannis going to ATL.
