Teams Want Spurs Expiring Contracts
The San Antonio Spurs have several expiring contracts and teams are valuing those contracts to help facilitate trades and even make direct trades with the Spurs.

Expiring contracts are just as valuable to Spurs as they would be to most other teams they are likely to trade with. Unless they can get a real upgrade to Barnes, Olynyx, or Sochan taking salary into account I really can't see them just trading them away for so called "assets". They will undoubtedly be giving Wemby a max extension then they will really have to start taking a hard look at who they've got and how their skills/salary will fit into their future. In terms of trading at the deadline the most likely trade would be Olynyx for a younger better PF/C maybe even cheaper on a longer term contract to backup Wemby/Barnes/ Kornet(and maybe Sochan?). There are a bunch of those in the East. Barnes is still producing at a high enough level that they may want to resign him on a 1 or 2 year contract. Sochan is only making $7mil. Probably would make more sense to keep him and see what he gets offered in restricted free agency. In any case if they keep all 3 till end of the season then don't resign them they could pick up a good starter level PF/C in free agency.
