  1. Yeah, Jaren deserves better than to be a salary floor guy in what will be a continuation of Kleiman's coaching/team building/system experiments. And, he will likely garner more in a trade than Ja Morant as a legit 2-way player & a player without the drama that Ja Morant tends to bring. If Jaren wants to be for a legit contender, he should want to be moved. And, at the end of the day, it's gonna be the case that both Des & Jaren will get the Grizzlies more in a trade than anything they may get for Ja.

  2. You know if we gonna get lowballed on Ja with guys like kuzma or quickley we might as well keep him through his contract because we have young players and gonna probably have two more after the draft and Scotty and Jerome will be back. Why panic we ain’t going far either way during a rebuild. I would move on from trip though, I personally think he’s overrated, he doesn’t rebound he stays in foul trouble and usually scores in the teens. Dont bring in scrubs okc doesn’t have scrubs. Also Joe konchar rebounds extremely well, he doesn’t turn the ball over and he doesn’t hurt the team. I’d move on from but he’s not as bad as you let on.

  3. Come convinced Grizzles trying sell the Franchise, that would be the only reason to tank a team who was making the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 seasons. You fire the most winning coach in team history. You want to trade the most valuable player in franchise history, a guy who’s 26 just coming into his prime, the most exciting player in the NBA, a player who sells more shoes/jerseys/tickets than anyone in the league!

Once they trade Ja they’re going to lose the fanbase, nobody going to be coming to them games anymore, and they’ll sell the team in two years. I’m in the city and people talking about canceling season tickets and not coming to game if Ja is traded! What they should do is trade JJJ for someone who Ja can play with, acquire a new coach that fits Ja style of play, but the team basketball of operations allowing the media to convince them Ja is worthless because they don’t want superstar like Ja in Memphis. They want to keep Memphis on some bottom of the barrel stuff.

  4. Fire the unproven coach who has disrupted a franchise. Get a proven coach that has played in the nba before and that Ja will listen to. Current coach needs to coach at a small college.
These trades are horrible and are recency bias. Ja needs leadership not punishment. Take a look at Dillion Brooks and see how he has flourished. Hire Rex Chapman who has worked with Dillion or have him as a consultant.

  5. Eh, what you got to lose? Get your best value for what you can and let this year ride out. You've had half of your best players hurt all year anyways. The firing of Taylor Jenkins should've been our first signal of the page turning on this Ja, Jaren, and Bane era. We still do a good job scouting and Iisalo's style doesn't necessarily need that super all-star or two to demand the ball. Grizz seem to be making adjustments to fit the current CBA atmosphere. Going forward, unless we get solid consistent guys on good contract, I would not be surprised if this franchise does not hold on to players long. Especially if they are about to achieve All-Star status and award winning levels. Money and payroll will be the focus for this kind of mid-markert team.

  6. I said it before and I'll say again and again and again, They should have hired Mike Malone after the Nuggets fiasco, he would have been a perfect coach for this group. I believe Ja and Iisolo don't get along very well.

  7. shout out to Jaren Jackson Jr cutting through all of this lieing, "Ja is over there happy and practicing", like. These media reports are wild. We have to cut through this media bullying stuff out. I am not sure what is going on with the front office, but I can't imagine any package looks even remotely interesting. I also like TI commenting about the internet reports being bad. But like, Rich Paul talking about how JJJ should be on the lakers like, who are these vultures. Media/NBA straight tripping right now, they acting like Robert Pera owns them luxury tax money.

  8. If we can get CMB we take the Raptors deal easy. CMB is a draymond clone with better offense. He will grow with the core.

Quickley is a bench guard 6th man in the wrong role due to being overpaid. He is useful but not the player of the future for our group.

  9. If we did the Kings deal get an additional pick by moving Zach to the Bucks. No need for a player like Lavine.

  10. The worst place to be is the middle, and that's where we'll be stuck if we keep Ja OR Jaren. We need a rebuild. We need to move Ja for whatever we can get for him. I'd take the Heat or Kings trade. I've also heard about a possible Timberwolves trade with McDaniels (doubt they'd do that) or Reid as the primary return. I've heard about Atlanta being interested in Jaren as well. If we could get that Pelicans pick and either Okongwu or Risacher and another pick, I'd jump on that.

As to who should be on the ball to give Cam more shooting opportunities, I think it has to be Ced. Give him the chance to make mistakes and grow his playmaking ability just like they did with Dez. He's an excellent passer, he already offers more rim pressure than Vince, and he's got secondary and possibly primary playmaker upside with his length and developing handle.
