How do you think the Nets should approach the rest of the season? What do you hope to see from management and the coaching staff?
I'd like to see them KEEP MPJ and build from there.

Another stellar performance by Day'Ron. I think it's his time to become the starting center. If we get a GOOD offer for Clax we should take it but keeping both is feasible IF MPJ is traded. I would like to see Day'Ron (center) and Clax (power forward) with Noah at the 3 starting together if MPJ is no longer here after the deadline.
Nets number 1 priority should be adding draft picks and developing the young core while planing how they can have a lot of contract flexibility 2-3(max) years from now so theyâll be able to resign the better rockies and sign/trade an all star/all NBA player in 2-3 years
MPJ so good he gets 30 second spotlight đđ. Nets keep doing what theyâre doing. Develop play hard we may lose most times but we show our culture and grit everytime on the floor. Trade CT and any other trades that has great return (yes includes mpj but really should keep him theyâll be no trade worth making this year) and just enjoy the ups and downs of the season
Why do we always have to be stuck playing the probability game with these draft picks? Like its any guarantee there's going to be generational talents in abundance for us to select from. Plan, brainstorm and configure the right draft plan and scout for the needs of the team. Stop jumping for the flashy names and glitz and glamor. We already did that with KD who just disrespected TF outta us. If the player wants to be traded or contract expiring I can fully understand but these half season rentals of players then shopping them (to division rivals) for draft picks is not a good look to me ijs
This is our last chance with the draft. We can't tank next year, get rid of MPJ and plan for the future

Two things can be true you can hate painting and still believe that the Nets need to tank.
Thatâs where I am. I donât love tanking. Itâs awful.. however until the NBA creates legitimate mechanisms for teams to be incentivize to win games while also having the ability to rebuild, this is the best ability for the majority of teams to contend for the very select star players. For the majority of teams free agency doesnât work because star level players donât wanna play in Utah. They donât wanna play for the wizards. And what happens is they left to the scraps of free agency where they have to overpay B plus talent.
Have to agree with you boys. I was all for going for the play in but⌠here we are. I just donât want to tank to an extreme. These have been good losses and we have played really well. Happy with the rookies progression. Nolan has been special lately
First off day'ron is the long term answer here. 2nd tanking should be the priority. Enoyed what MPJ has given us but getting a guy like cooper flagg or Vj or kon level talent is what will supercharge this rebuild. Fans who dont get that are delusional

TRADE IDEA: CLAX & CAM TO THE CHICAGO BULLS
BULLS GET: Nic Claxton, Cam Thomas.
NETS GET: Nikole Vucevic, Jevon Carter, Julian Phillips, Lachlan Olbrich, 2026 1st round pick (lottery protected), & 2032 1st round pick (unprotected).
WHY THE BULLS DO THIS?: Bulls get Claxton who've they've been interested for awhile and he will provide rim protection that Vucevic does not. He is also several years younger that will have better chemistry with the other Bulls players and has a descending contract til the end of 2027-2028. Cam Thomas would give them scoring punch as a starter or bench reserve. Could resign him long term at the end of season.Â
WHY THE NETS DO THIS?: We get all salary fillers with expiring contracts after this season and multiple 1st round picks.

If you average where the leading scorer on each team in the east was picked it's between 15and 16. Tanking is for losers! I don't think the league is rewarding tankers. I think the Mavericks got the first pick because they didn't tank
Dallas didnt tank. They made a terrible trade, terrible injuries, a lucky ping pong ball, and some NBA conspiracy.
The logic of the title of this segment is truly stupid. Who's to say ANY of the top picks turns out good or better?
The whole premise is wrong because Mavs didnât tank, if anything the correct observation is to not tank if they are the example.
