    If the Mavericks somehow can get another draft pick, I think they should draft another center just in case if Lively can't stay healthy

    Take the player with the highest upside you will be able to make adjustments with the roster. Never take less talent

    Issac’s main thing has always been yapping about mock trades and mock drafts…. He’s always had god awful takes with these things too. I’m convinced he’s only still around bc of his relationship with Nick.

    We need a PG and SG.. our 3pt shooting is abysmal and we just can't have only one player, Max, making 3's especially when this looks like Klay last yr..

    If we pick at 5-6 it’s Flemings. If we pick at 9-10 it’s Mullins. Brown is the classic high ceiling lie floor gamble. Very gifted but also inconsistent with some iffy shot selection. Brown may be great but he is less of a sure thing than Flemmings.

    If Cenac drops to the early 20s then I think he’s a value. Honestly Cenac needs to go back to school for another year and enter the draft next year. He is a project but if it connects you have a rim defender on D who could be a legit stretch 5 on offense. The 20s are where gambling is OK

    This would be a great year to have some high second round picks. Guaranteed some really interesting guys are going to slide in a draft like this.

    The Mavericks are just 15-25 and there have been indications that the team is seriously considering the idea of shutting down point guard Kyrie Irving for the rest of the season.

    Shut him down. It’s the right thing to do.
    Let’s see a starting lineup of
    Nembhard, Hardy, Christie, Flagg and Cisse. They have earned it based on last nights performance.
    Three months of quality basketball by the under 25 brigade.

    I'd definitely take Philon over Acuff. I just don't see taking a small guard in the top 10 in today's NBA. There's a reason that the NBA is devaluing small guards now

    Isaac, assuming we land at 4 and pick Wilson, how do we fit him into the Mavs? Would that affect us keeping PJ?

    I like the vision Isaac, Flemings is a two way guard and should be the top ranked one. Just an embarrassment of riches in the 2026 draft.

    Problem with taking a PG rookie, means your tank journey will be at least 3 years since you draft him.
    Even Luka needs 2-3 years.
    Do we have that much time to complete rebuild, since we dont have the control of frp from 2027 to 2030.

    Anyway, I guess the only way we complete the rebuild in next season, will be getting AJ Dybantsa or we take a leap of faith for Darryn Peterson.
    Either way, we need silver's help.

    5:40 ……We should be operating under THE LIKELIHOOD we will be picking
    ONE THRU SIX.
    We will definitely“pass” Charlotte and Utah and will likely pass one or two of the remaining five team
    (Brooklyn, Washington, Indiana, Sacramento and New Orleans), especially since all are NOW more talented now than we are.
    We should “lean into” our young developing players and trade less desirable veterans who could return picks, expiring contracts and very young, Talented players of the level of guys like asa Newell and C. Murray Boyles. Or just trade vets for next to nothing together rid of them lol.
    God Nico screwed us completely.
    Can’t believe we like the jerk.

    How can you draft a little guy when you already have a bunch of little guys?
    When would he play?
    Fair to say you couldn’t play them together right?
    That sounds incredibly short sighted.

    First we have to trade some players, Klay, Gaff and Dlo won't be on the roster after the trade Deadline. I would keep Naji, PJ and Mad Max as those are building blocks next to Coop. D Liv III and Kai will be on the Team, makes no sense to trade them unless somebody offers us 3 first for Kai.
    Hardy can hit 3s, so keep him.
    I still believe that Peterson could fall because of his injuries. If not find the next Haliburton/Mitchell/Adebayo in the 8-20 range. A Top heavy Draft like this always has at least one sleeper at the end or outside the lottery drafted.
    Maybe there is a way to get Cason Wallace with the 2026 pick, if the pick is outside Top 8 I would trade the pick for him. OKC has Ajay Mitchell and will also draft other players this year. At least one of Mitchell or Wallace can't be extended by OKC unless they trade one of their max players.

    Omg I love Mikel Brown. Louisville has been struggling since he went out injured. The kid seems to have some issues with away games, but hopefully he will grow out of that. He’s still just a baby. Otherwise, he’s incredible.

    If they get outside of the top 3 pick but top 5, you have to pick Kingston. If they are outside of the top 5, they should pick Mikel Brown Jr. He's not playing great but he has shown flashes of what he can be. Lebaron reminds me to much of DLO to be hyped about him and Acuff is too small.

    Keaton Wagner is going to rise to that top 8. That big point guard potential will get teams very interested.
