2 free throws in the first half, 2 in the second half, what world are we living in ? Team Wemby got a ton of love from the refs in a 4 point win.
Payton becoming a .500 merchant 😢
Tatum needs to recruit he’s best friend BAM to the Celtics
Forget about that zubac talk
To be honest I don't notice when Sam plays or doesn't play on most nights this season. Even when he is on he has trouble putting a few good games in a row together.
This team's problem is inconsistency. With all these moving parts we never know who is a keeper. Are Walsh, Minott, Simons, Hauser or Baylor even worth having on the team next season?
We are allowing the less ft because no team drive anymore to the rim. Look at all games… It's crazy to see the "hell no" drive or U turn drive per game
Pritchard and Simons were garbage!
Wemby is talented at being tall. Hes injury prone already. Also, he’s now a bench player
Sherrod, it is recency bias with the "never seen before."
What happened to Ralph Sampson? Remember, the original twin towers of Hakeem and Ralph? Of course, Ralph's career was cut short due to injuries.
When there was that missed foul call on LeBron James against the Celtics a few years back the league apologized for it and fired the ref and since then the Lakers consistently get a 12+ FT differential. (Which he just posted a picture complaining about a call again so I’m sure they’ll see an uptick again).
But the Celtics won’t get that treatment
Can the Celtics actually beat a good western team?
Jb slander coming in 3…2…1
Brown needs to remember that people don't like complainers….he does have a point…but not to the extent he's doing it. Between that and all the talk he's done about having to sacrifice the last few years. I love his game but his "victim" complex is not helping his MVP or even his all NBA argument. He's a lock for 1st ….or 2nd team all NBA but voters can alter that.
“Borderline evolutionary” literally made me spit out my coffee.
Never change, Bobby.
Terrible defensive scheme on Wemby. Putting 6'6" guys on him isn’t going to work.
Tbh Bobby does sound very dramatic when he asks questions. Washburn and Karalis are good examples of how to ask the tough questions in a direct objective manner.
It wasn't just JB that wasn't getting the foul calls.
Noa 🤩
Bobby “he’s your first legendary center” Manning!
QUETA dried kornet and not 1 min talkinmg about that match up. shame… proof of agenda
Great show, as usual. I hope Celtics nation appreciates how good the quality of analysis GR provides compared to what fans in other NBA cities get.
Apology cam: I didn't realize that Bobby was that disappointed with Luke's departure that he would get emotional upon his return. Apparently I was insensitive about it, so my apologies to Bobby.
An idea: CLNS could trade Bobby to SLNS (if such exists). The Spurs media would get Bobby, and we could get a replacement talking head from them and maybe a utility infielder or back up long snapper.
Speaking of football: I gave away my Blaz/Knicks tickets for today's game cuz I was too hyped about the Pats game. Damn the timing. Love the season they've had, but got a bad feeling about tonight's game.
Speaking of Luke: he was asked why he made the decision to leave Beantown for San Anton and he started talking about god. The best LK joke of all time
JB's whining is getting really old really fast. Whatever the refs are doing it isn't keeping a shell of a Celtics team from being ten games over 500 almost halfway thru season, maybe for the sake of the team he should stop antagonizing the refs and shut up. They also haven't kept him from being an MVP candidate. JB, just shut up. You've been great this year, you get my vote for MVP, but you made critical errors last night which cost your team the game. Accept responsibilty, own it, stop blaming the refs and just shut up.
I'm also getting really tired of his playing ego ball. Twice he tried to dunk over Wemby; twice he literally took the ball to Wemby and tried to dunk over him. Not smart. Not good for the team. I know that a poster of him dunking on Wembanyama would net him loads of money and maybe that was his motivation and not ego, but in either case he hurt his team. If on those occasions he had been a team player and pulled the ball out, then we might have scored on those possessions and we might have won that game.
"Every time we play a good team…" Well figure it out JB. If every time you play a good team you don't go to the line as often as they then what does that mean? You are a professional basketball player–you know the game, what does that indicate to you? You play good teams and they go to the line more often than the Cs…um…perplexing…quite a conundrum, isn't it? Ever consider coaching, JB?
"They are good but they ain't that damn good…" Yes they are, JB, yes they are. They are much better than the Celtics and don't have to foul to beat these Celtics. Enough, Jb, enough.
JB listed as "doubtful" allegedly due to back spasms. So is it him, the team, or the commish? A new chapter in the JB poutathon is upon us, he didnt get POTM and he been throwing a hissy fit ever since, as tho life has been unkind to the poor boy.
My guesses: It's not likely that he is rrsponsible for his "doubtful" status. That he is not listed as out suggests it's not the team that is holding him back. If this is about a cooling off period to avoid a ref backlash against the team I think he would just be declared out. This maybe/maybe not play status probably means a discussion will be held some time before the game between JB and somebody in the league office, probably the boss himself. As I said above, I doubt he is refusing to play until he gets some kind of satisfaction from the league, but he launched a public broadsides against the refs which he knew meant heat would come–as it should–from the league and maybe team. Going public meant his tirade would not go ignored by the league, so maybe JB is threatening not to play, but I think it less likely than the team/league is threatening him with his not playing.
Whichever, JB's unhealthy need for acclaim and recognition is hurting his team. JB is one of the luckiest people on the face of the earth. He makes 50m/yr playing a child's game. That's more than 99.9pc of the people who have ever trod this earth, but it's not enough for him. JB, stop being so selfish, just shut up and play. I checked in when Russell was the dominant Celtic, and neither he nor any of his successors talked abt themselves and complained as much as you do. You want to be thought of as an elite player and an elite Celtic, then act like one.
"most skilled refs in the world" add it to the bracket
Up and under needs to be the way to drive on wemby. Floaters. Rondo fakes. Not driving in and trying to poster him. That works maybe 10% of the time
