Trade Rumors: Boston Celtics ‘would love’ Jaren Jackson Jr. | Is it even possible?

Are Boston Celtics trade rumors just wishful thinking or a sign of bold moves ahead? John Karalis of Boston Sports Journal and Tom Westerholm of Boston.com dissect the swirling buzz around Jaren Jackson Jr. and Daniel Gafford, debating the financial realities of bringing a high-priced center to Boston and the implications under the NBA’s second apron rules. The hosts break down Anfernee Simons’ value, center rotation decisions, and why Ivica Zubac might be the most sensible target with the Celtics’ current roster construction.

Hot topics include Joe Mazzulla’s recent officiating comments, the Celtics’ need to avoid blaming losses on referees, and how team leadership sets the franchise’s accountability culture. Karalis and Westerholm separate real targets from overhyped trade rumors, challenge fans to trust their intuition during silly season, and spotlight the mindset needed for Boston’s playoff ambitions. Don’t miss this sharp analysis of trade options, locker room expectations, and where the Celtics stand heading into a critical stretch.

  1. Give us some dubs I'm TIRED OF LOSING MIAMI VOODOO JUST WON AND I HOPE THEY'LL NEVER GONNA GET THIS TEAM

  2. It’s gonna be Santi Aldama and John Konchar for Anfernee Simons and Chris Boucher.. the old bait and switch

  3. I agree that if this ref battle becomes part of the culture it will be a problem, but I have to push back on you guys a bit… this isn’t the dominating talent Celtics who should be winning games whether the whistle is one sided or not. This, as Jaylen noted, is a team that is scratching and clawing for EVERYTHING. End of the day he ISN’T getting the same whistle as his peers. It does affect this squads ability to win in ways we haven’t seen in the past and I do think it’s important to make the league aware… lastly… there is power in your coach getting on the bandwagon. It can be used the right way – “f the refs. F the league. They don’t want us to win. Nobody believed and now that we doing, they don’t think we belong – let’s go prove them wrong again” .. that feels like a rally cry to me.

  4. So basically even if the refs have been bad the last couple games then they should never voice how bad the refs were and pretty much stfu got it. Not sure why it bothers people so much but got it
