    I don’t know if you can do this with NBA contracts but players like AD and Zion small guaranteed contracts with large incentive markers that come with availability. Maybe it is but there are too many dumb teams that will just guarantee the whole thing.

    I’ve been saying you would have to attach Flagg to a deal to get rid of AD. He is such a detriment to a team it is crippling. Best play now is just waiting out contract. An extension for AD would be worse than Luka trade. No one is that dumb.

    Nico and current ownership really screwed the mavericks for years to come. That’s a huge cap hit for such an injury prone player that you can’t move. It reminds me of the Phoenix Suns with Bradley Beal.

    I just want to know how we can just get him off our roster. It might be impossible now to trade him. And if Rich Paul actually thinks AD can get any type of extension making more then 40 mil then you are mistaken.

    Klay will be traded this trade deadline. There's your money. Also We will have to do a trade like the Hawks did with Washington with Trae Young and just trade AD for expiring contracts. Let's just hope we get one of those top 3 players in this draft

    The fact Cooper had to go to this dumpster fire of an organization (what it is now not historically) that has little to no hope of building a team around him to allow him to compete with the OKC's or San Antonio's or Houston's for the next decade is honestly a travesty. The miracle work they're going to have to do build this roster with no picks is almost inconceivable. If you told me Cooper asked out by his 4th/5th/6th year I'd believe it and I wouldn't blame him.

    Let's wait till the offseason to trade him, he'll be healthy and we'll get more offers. Then AD will suffer some injuries. We'll trade in the next trade deadline, he just needs to be healthy and play some games. Then AD will get some injuries. Rinse and repeat.

    I just hope they won't extend him. Mavs can probably eat up his salary in the next 2 years.

    Man it’s not that difficult, anyone with common sense knows as soon as he’s healthy you trade him, with this team availability is key, get 1 1st round pick and expiring contract for AD he should’ve been traded asap we will never anything value but we need him gone we all know he doesn’t stay healthy let’s be real.

    Kinda weird for AD,sure he's a made of glass but he rarely miss a significant chunk of the season when he played for the Lakers….,i guess age might also become a factor here

    Not sure why AD wanted new contract. His is owed 54 million this season 58 and 62 foliwing seasons. He has a great contract. Is he expecting 200 million for 4 years?

    Who in their right mind would trade for him? He's untradable. His injury record alone should have prevented Nico from trading for him. He couldnt give Davis away.
