hope billy donovan gets fucking fired
to answer your question on Billy, as a Bulls fan; I think Billy Donovan isn't a bad coach but he definitely has his faults at its a big reason why we are always in the play in. Billy clearly has a sharp basketball mind (the offense this season displays that) and players say nothing but good things about him. But he gets stuck in his head with rotations, hes loves 3-4 guard line ups and doesn't like to give young guys big minutes until they have proven themselves over and over, where as he's fine giving a guy like Kevin Huerter 28-30 minutes even when he's shooting poorly. He's also not great at hyping the team up on a game to game basis, the team will sometimes come out with no energy or fire against the worst teams but then shit on the nuggets the next night.
At the end of the day Billy can truly put on great displays of coaching and I do think being tough on Matas is a good thing, Matas told Billy he wanted to become a superstar on both ends of the floor and Billy holds him to that standard, just wish he would allow him to make a few more mistakes and give him more minutes.
Do I want Billy to be fired? not if there aren't any better options out there.

I generally I hate that the mid range is look as a 3 in the 90s haha . When I hope I’m comfortable from the mid post turn around jump you become uncheckable with a middy and that why the game was great back then it was strategic. pin down screen of ball cutting etc. basketball with out the lost post and elbow is like football with no lineman it’s just different and don’t hit the same
Not a real bulls fan, but i get frustrated with billy's game day decisions
Billy struggles to counter other coaches gameplans and even forgets that challenging calls exist, which always has me thinking what's the point of the coaching staff?

The problem is the bulls coach Donovan. At this point, the priority should be the development of matas and yet we barely see plays that run through him. That comment about him saying "dump his mid range" is outrageous lol

The Bulls need to surround Matas with better players if the Bulls are to go far he has all the potential in the worls to be the next bulls superstar
Billy relies on his vets more often than not and is very stubborn in his rotations, other than with Patrick Williams he punishes rookies when they make mistakes with little opportunity to correct them

Billy is fine. Floor raiser, and we're not competing for 50+ wins any time soon anyway.
I don't mind the shot selection stuff from BD. Coaching him on getting a better shot isn't a bad message, honestly not handled any different by Spo with Ware this year.
Matas watching the ball on defense drives me nuts with all the back cuts on him, but I like that he recognizes that his biggest area of needed improvement.
He's surprised me with the handle this year, but if he improves on that, it'll open so much more of the game for him on offense. I think Billy gives the middy back once Matas proves he can manage.
if billy would stop being set in his ways we would make alot of head way. billy refused to play double bigs the end of last season and this season when he finally broke down and played double bigs he learned real fast how good it is.
Matas looks good but whats the point in an organization that keeps trying to build on a budget, this spit and scotch tape teams wont get us anywhere and we’ll fumble away yet another young talent like we did with lauriits sas cuz he looks like he really wants to be here but the strategy seems to be, “lets try shit and pray” lol
A new coaching staff will open up so much more for us. The Billy Donovan era is long overdue to be over and he got extended because the Bulls organization is incredibly incompetent and loyal for no reason. Any other team he would’ve been fired years ago and blacklisted.
