I never understood why Denver paid Braun that extension when Watson just needed a bit more time to improve. I think he overall is a better player than Braun so him starting isn’t bad at all. Braun coming off the bench wouldn’t hurt at all.
Stop the bullshit narratives. 25 game sample and I believe most the teams were below .500 and he struggled against the good athletic teams played like complete trash. He got exposed thats why he faked an injury becuase he was playing like garbage. And he cant do it over 82 games! Austin is a 6th man. If the Lakers play him 200 mil they will be stuck.
What do you think about the lakers waiting and signing Peyton Watson in the offseason? I think he is playing out of the max contract the nuggets could offer him

Let's break it down what a superstar has always been until recently when the media started giving it away to freely. There are only about 9 to 13 superstars in the NBA in stretches not 30 like the media will having you thinking and believing.
The standard:
1. Have had to made to a conference finals or NBA finals as a go to guy on the team offensively and/or defensively in the last 4 yrs and consistently in the playoffs.
2. Have a direct positive impact in the playoffs and regular season on both sides of the ball consistently.
3. Multiple all stars no alternates…

If Denver gets whole before the playoffs they’re the team to beat. Their depth is crazy this year. They already have the chemistry too.
Mailbag: Hey Jason hope the new year is treating you and your family well. Thank you for your Rockets comments after their recent losing skid. I feel the fanbase is panicking due to the new expectations of being a contender with KD. I'm not concerned either but the last couple of games have shown some flaws that could hurt them in the playoffs. I believe we should make a trade for one of the Bulls' guards (Coby, Ayo, or Tre) to give us more guard play and the threat of an on-ball creator that can shoot and pressure the rim, so we aren’t so reliant on KD and Alpi creating all the offense. I would like to get Ayo but have heard from Bulls' fans that they'd rather keep him as he would be cheaper to resign and he's from Chicago. So, the trade I like is DFS + Tate + 2026 CHI 2nd + 2027 PHX 1st for Coby White. I believe this would improve our offense and spacing tremendously while also raising both our offensive floor and ceiling. The Bulls would cash in on one of their young players and get a 3&D vet in DFS who can help their defense and would be an expiring contract next year since the last two years of his deal are non-guaranteed. My new starting lineup would be Coby, Amen, Tari, KD, and Alpi with a bench of Reed, Okogie, Jabari, and Steven/Capela. This would balance our lineups more and have three shooters around Alpi and Amen while having two defensive wings to cover up for Coby. We would also have an extra roster spot to acquire someone on the buyout market as well. Who would be a trade target for you to help the Rockets improve? Curious to hear your thoughts after the OKC/MIN games. Thank you for all your hard work.

And if FO doesn’t pick up a starting big, I’d leave if I was Steph. The franchise isn’t doing enough to maximize Steph’s last years. I’d be happy if Steph leaves. We don’t need more guards or small forwards. We need a beast in the center or a power forward to drive in n play some Defense.

I think Trey and herb is a great trade probably pelicans dont do it, but in theory i really dont see any excuse why you dont do a trade like that, trey is a great 2 way player and herb is an elite poa to me those three luka, trey, herb is better than luka, austin

I told you last year about Watson Jason he is a beast. What a find by Booth some of the hate has to be forgiven lol as Pickett, Braun, Watson, and Naji all are playing well and helping this team stay afloat. Excited to see us healthy watch out OKC you have a target on your back!

I’m a bit confused. I love Trevor but his recent POD sounded like our beloved team had a bunch of picks to throw at a trade deadline deal. I checked and you’re right Jason; we don’t have but one pick to part with and hope for at least a mid-draft type player we can sign long term back. Which players can we throw in to balance salaries? Is that second round pick Thiero any good Jason? He’s only played in 15 games and never made a 3 pointer. Can we add even a $ to our payroll without causing a bunch of long term problems? I’m an eternal optimist but can’t see anything good. Poor LeBron’s 2026 season might be absolutely wasted. His agent (Paul) even says we don’t have a chance of winning. I’m scared about even winning a Play-In game. Maybe we should do the right thing and put LeBron on waivers. At least a small thank you for making us Covid champions. At least he can find a good team. We used to be able to just outspend the rest of the league but they won’t let us do that anymore. They don’t even give us calls anymore. Totally depressing. Reaves took a major step back defensively this year. Only disagreement. Some of it was his offensive load. Some of it was continuing those bad habits when the load became lighter.
