The Bucks Have a Gigantic Problem…
There’s one decision the Milwaukee Bucks might make that could quietly end the NBA Giannis era in Milwaukee, and it actually has nothing to do with trading Giannis Antetokounmpo. The real danger is what they might do to keep him. In trying to save this NBA season and show Giannis they’re still all-in, the Bucks could make a move that damages their ability to ever build a real contender around him again. Not just this year, but moving forward. Sometimes the move you make to protect the present is the one that destroys the future, and that’s the spot Milwaukee is inching closer to right now…

doc is not a bad coach he just doesnt fit with the bucks
The biggest issue with milwaukee since 2023 has been how inconsistent they've been. This team has lacked an identity for years now. Today they beat a good team, the next game they lose by 40 to a lottery team. The crazy thing is that as time goes by, they are getting to new levels of trash. I agreed with firing Budenholzer, but trading Jrue Holiday and firing Adrian Griffin as a 2 seed in the east are now being proven to be the worst decisions made by the front office during this Giannis era. We even had the chance to hire Ime Udoka. Imagine how that would have gone. Look at the Rockets now! DEFENSE used to be their identity. Now it is a thing of the past. In my opinion, I agree with you that this core has been well constructed but need a good coach for them to even get anywhere. Doc has to be fired as soon as possible because things are only going to get worse. There is no doubt now that this season is a write-off. If I'm Giannis, if there will be a coaching change, I would just finish the 2 years on my contract and if nothing is achieved, walk away as a free agent to a contender and stack up as many rings as possible till the end of my career.
Giannis needs to get held accountable. Someone tell him to grow a pair and finally say what tf he wants. This behind the scene shi and always playing innocent and clueless when he gets confronted is getting tired.
Bucks need Bobby to step up, Rollins to be more efficient, KPJ to lower his usage and be less of a ball hog when he’s not on, fire Doc, and trade for a guard that can lockdown even if they aren’t the greatest shooter
I have a hottake: Giannis is just kind off overrated. He's just not as insanely good as people make him out to be. In the 2019-2023 era, the roster was build to suit him, but it was also just a good all-round roster. Multiple ball-handlers, good shooters but not insane spacing. But they were winning, in a big part because the team wasn't just "Giannis is the best player in the world and we have given him space to go crazy". Currently, the roster has been build more around him, to maximize the spacing. As a result his counting stats look insane and people think he has peaked, but it's not winning basketball. Plus, when he's injured, which happens a lot, the roster is just trash, because it's not a team with player that are good on their own merrit.
Giannis is player with serious flaws, overrated defensively and he is injured way too much. Corrected for injuries, Giannis is not a top 5 player in the world. If he was, the Bucks would not 11th the east. I think a lot of GM's know he's overrated, which is why the trade market for him is so dissapointing for the Bucks.
Janis made a very bad trade with lilard…rest is history.
FREE GIANNIS.
Good to see you’ve stopped sniffing Lebums jocks 🙏
The Bucks should have traded Giannis years ago. The Bucks don't have the resources for the future……

Doc doesn't fit what we are trying to achieve
I hope Giannis has his Kobe soft like Charmin moment soon
Giannis literally told the Bulls he was “teaching them how to play the right way” after Milwaukee ran up the score, flexed, stared down the bench and ignored every unwritten rule in the book. Now fast forward and the Bucks are getting humbled, booed by their own crowd and sliding while he is visibly frustrated and jawing at everyone. That is the irony. You do not get to posture as the moral authority of the league and then act shocked when the basketball gods hand it straight back to you. This is not karma in some mystical sense. This is how professional sport works. You break the code, you invite retaliation. You talk down to opponents, you put a target on your own back. Milwaukee did that to Chicago and now the league is doing it right back to them. And suddenly the same guy who was lecturing others about respect is the one losing his composure on the floor and hearing boos at home.
Dame trade broke the franchise. They gave up way too much. No picks left for years. Then tons of vet mins. No room to get anyone good. No cap space. Horst overpays for almost every trade.
Something needed to give, but I wish I could've just seen Bud coaching a Bucks team with Giannis, Dame, and Khris Middleton on it (while all remained healthy)
People talk about Doc but don't talk what he does or doesn't do that is the problem. I had supreme belief in this team going into the season based on the stretch they had last year with Giannis, KPJ, AJ, and GT2, and then replacing Brook who was a liability on defense with Miles who is same player but better defender. Watch the games. The Bucks get so many open looks and just miss shots. Defensively They give up open threes all game, have mismatches on defense playing what is usually a 3 guard lineup, or 2nd unit with an undersized front court with Bobby at the 5 and Kuz at the 4. 2nd unit offense is usually really bad. Giannis went out they're down by 3, next time Giannis checks back in they're down 15. If Bobby isn't cooking with the second unit it's a lot of Rollins making awful decisions usually trying to Iso, getting bad midrange looks or driving to the rim to get to a block party. I think they need to make moves, because I think the strategy is generally right but the execution is either great or terrible. Most of the games they've won and lost has been them beating a team most of the game but shitting the bed real bad at one spot, where they spend the whole game on a come back to win or lose close, or they're going down to the wire after winning most of the game or establishing a big lead. Could they make a multi team trade to get MPJ, Lavine? A move like that could completely change this team.
Thanks as always for covering Bucks
Beno Udrih can fix it, or if GA goes he can rebuild it. Bucks gotta have the courage to get rid Doc and promote their G League coach. (Similar to how OKC went from Billy Donovan to Mark Diagnault)
Myles Turner will always be a pacers legend for going to the buck. He fd up their salary cap with the Dame dump, and now he’s got Giannis wanting to leave more than ever. Remember kids, professional athletes are almost never honest with the media. Just cause he says he doesn’t want to ask for a trade, doesn’t mean he doesn’t want one
i seriously dont understand how the fk that franchise is still keep going on with doc rivers at this point. It was obvious since the begining that this thing wasnt gonna work out at all and every single game the theme remains the same and even gets even worst than before
We have to ditch Rivers that's it we need a coach with a vision for who this team is, I've hear point Giannis, I've heard shoot the gaps and run in transition, I've heard touch paint and kick for threes, it just keeps going round and round with no vision no plan. Running the same sets for the Bud era, doing nothing to improve.
Best basketball page out here
It seriously all starts with doc rivers getting the boot like you said. Like every fan can’t stress enough how bad doc is. I seriously don’t know how doc has had a job for the past decade
Kumpo to the Warriors..LETS GO
@chicagobulls should grab this dude.
I recently start becoming a fan of the Bucks, I hope everything goes well for the organization and rosters, I kinda want Giannis to stay but it's entirely his choice since what has been happening.
Im so sick of these Bucks, theyre are run by a bunch of clowns. Horst needs to be fired, he screwed the team with staggeringly bad trades last few years. Doc needs to leave as well. Bucks too stupid to let Giannis go, theyre holding on to him for dear life, and ironically that is why they'll never win another chip. Giannis has almost become too proud to ask for a trade and he is not only hurting himself, he's hurting the team. He should stop being so stubborn and get the hell out of Milwaukee, so the team can initiate a complete rebuild with a whole bunch of draft picks, keeping a small crop of current players. It will also allow him to go to a different environment where it will be good for him.
Doc must have some freaky pictures of Bango. I'm sure of it 😂😂😂😂😂
If he stays a Buck until he retires, he will have my utmost respect.😊
7 games as of last night under .500.
No, Giannis is wasting prime Doc Rivers coaching.
Front office destroyed Champion team…
They did everything wrong last three years…
Firing coach Bud… trading Holiday and Allen…hiring Doc… trading Middleton… signing Turner…
Bucks front office is satisfied of Doc? They fired previous coach with 30-13 team record…They will fire Doc when team record is 17-30?
The Biggest Bucks mistake was firing coach Bud (1 champion + 3*1st regular season seed in 5 years). The most successful era after 70s. What else they wanted by a coach?
