I've been saying Portis would be a perfect fit & has been my top target for actually realistic options. Won't cost us much on salary or assets & gives us shooting and length we need at the 4 as well as a vet

I like Portis the player, but this is probably the best he'll ever be for the rest of his career. And realistically how much of a 4 is he in today's league and how long will that last? Wemby would be better suited for the 4 imo. You can probably play Wemby/Kornet and Wemby/Portis.

I want Trey Murphy III. He is the missing link. Vassell and his bloated contract and injury history and inconsistency need to go. But we need to replace effeminate Mitch who is pretending to be a head coach. We need an alpha male b/c an effeminate coach = effeminate players who will be pushed around like the Spurs were against the Jazz, Blazers, Grizzlies (3 lottery teams), TWolves and Thunder.
The Spurs could have taken Jalen Johnson. But they saw something in Josh Primo.
I would start Portis with Champagnie. Assuming they trade Olynyk, Sochan, and/or picks, the bench would be fantastic with Harper, Vassell, Keldon, Barnes, and Kornet.
I've always been a Portis fan and would love to have him. Plus we need a dog out there to protect Wemby.
