  1. Well, some this is the dynamic of having a superstar with deficiencies on your team. One observation although small but big is the dynamic of transition offense. Here is an example and I saw this with Dame also. The ball is rebounded on the opposite side of Giannis, instead of Greek running the lane or cutting to the middle he often goes back to get the ball to bring it up. Now some of this is a trust issue with Greek, but also a routine. This kills the dynamics of fast break and also allows defenses to set up. Although Greek is exceptional at getting to the rim, basketball is a team game defensively and offensively. So going against a set defense usually reduces offensive efficiency. The other issue is because Greek brings the ball up he is usually looking to attack the gaps to score, then pass, which is different than pass when a player is in the best position so often players catch the ball under tighter windows and clock situations which makes it a live or die offensive scenario instead of a great rhythm situation. Another challenge is good player and ball movement which the Bucks offense often looks very stagnant which is what comes with the greatness/weakness of Greek. When you look at the roster from 1-3 who are they better than in the east? I actually like the guys they have but realistically I would rank them 10th -12th in the East. Giannis is the best player in the East and probably 2nd or 3rd in the NBA. So, roster construction is everything here. Finally, losing Dame requires the team to manufacture 25ppg which has not happened consistently.
