I am a Lakers fan and feel like they are the WORST Best Team … thanks to LeBron, but I digress.
But what is WRONG with this franchise. I feel like they have no future and no draft pick.
and now they are rumored to trade for Ja Morant. horrible for roster construction, amazing for bringing in $$.
Couldn't pay me to watch basketball since the mavs traded luka, but I will watch the FOTF for free.

They got the talent but poor coaching and execution led to them not running their conference, they also traded their first round picks this year😞

Pelicans got one of the best young talents in the league. Everyone at their position is elite including Zion who is always hurt. But they suck so bad never made sense to me
Troy Weaver built a good young team in Detroit so that earns some trust and patience for me. Queen, Fears were both good picks so that's promising. When you build around 2 rookies like that in NBA it may take some time like we saw with OKC, Hou, Det…but it gives you a shot. I think we gotta clear Dejounte, Poole, Hawkins, and Looney off the books. You can't have 75 million riding your bench. And you need just 1 reliable rotational player in return or a pick to get one. You play lottery odds for one more year than you pick another lotto pick high to make your big 3. If in the meantime while Queen develops, Zion builds his value, there's a case to be made for potential rebuild (with a young ascending roster) within 2 seasons. I hope that's the vision. We still gotta see how it plays out. Both of our sports teams are kinda riding the middle currently so you really want to see them thinking long term in championship terms. Even if that means being worse for a year or two in order to be better for 5 to 10. Nature of the game.
