We have a big OKC Thunder update and OKC Thunder injury update after the Thunder’s 122-120 loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday night. Ryan Breeden discusses the loss, which is OKC’s 8th of the season, and also talks about Jalen Williams (JDub) leaving the game with a leg injury in the first half. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) scored 39, but Andrew Wiggins hit a late 3 and Chet Holmgren couldn’t convert on an alley oop and Alex Caruso missed a 3 on the final possession to end the game. The Thunder’s main focus now shifts to JDub and his status going forward, which is discussed in this video.

  1. Big Shai fan, big Thunder fan, but am I crazy for saying I can see where the refs were coming from on that offensive foul? Yes, the defender jumped forward, but Shai jumped right into him instead of jumping straight up as if he were going to shoot. His body trajectory on the shot seemed blatantly foul-seeking instead of getting fouled in a natural shooting motion or in an attempt to score at the rim with forward momentum. I’m not saying he intentionally shoulder checked him but he was obviously not intending to shoot. Am I missing something here? It looked more aggressive and covetous than other times where he intentionally draws contact.
