  1. From Jamaica 🇯🇲. I thought that they failed to see wemby coming off the pick and roll too many times

  2. Fastest player in the league and the tallest player in the league. Why are we not seeing more pick n rolls?

  3. Strong game in terms of team effort, but the 12 missed 3s in the 3rd and 4th quarters combined (why attempt so many 3s, especially when you start being tired??) and crumbling defense in these two quarters will not secure many wins during the playoffs. Instead, more midrange 2s and pick and roll with Vic in the 3rd and 4th quarter — with 3s as well but not so many — plus strong offensive rebounding and defense all game long, could take the Spurs to the finals.

  4. I've been saying from the get go…Go and get Markkanen…do whatever it takes. We can't waste any time with Wemby. We ALL know that the Jazz want to TANK and protect their top 8 protected pick! We have the assets….NO excuses…Expiring contracts a picks package and players. Markkanen is EXACTLY what we need…a FRONTCOURT STUD next to WEMBY! That's the process for me!!! Gert it done!!!!!!!

  5. They did great. They held off one of the best clutch players in the league on a night when he hit everything. Blew a lead yes, but Ant is not your average player. They could have caved. They didn't.
Mitch let's them play. That's good. They are a young team. They need to learn and they need to learn their limits..
Yes, trial by fire. That's great.

  6. I haven't had time to really analyze what the Spurs have been doing in the second halfs of games where they go into the second half but I know the Spurs have the rep of having one of the best analytics departments in all of sports(according to The MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference previously named them the "Best Analytics Organization") It used to drive me nuts in the CHIP days and they used to implement what I called a "Prevent offense" which consisted of milking the clock in situations that made it easy for opponent teams to partly catch up but nearly impossible to win. Hypothetic Ex if the Spurs are up by 20 points with 10 minutes to go, if The Spurs didn't turn if over or foul all they had to do is get about1/2 point(very low) per possession and it made it nearly impossible for the other team to score enough to catch up. Of course an experience team get implement this strategy because it won't work if the team makes a lot of foolish tovs or fouls.

  7. I wish this team would learn to set SOLID screens. Koret is the only one that does and it creates baskets more times than not. I criticize Mitch as a coach because I’m not seeing enough pick and roll or pick and pop offense with quintessential pick and roll/pop players, even Sochan.

Too many times one player with the ball just runs into a crowd and loses it or turns it over; Castle, Fox, Harper and Wemby do it constantly. Coach gotta tell them to wait for a screen and then go instead of everyone standing on the perimeter waiting to shoot 3’s.

If we are up 25 one game and 19 another, that tells you we have good players. Coach gotta coach. When you watch the next game, look at the quality of the screens and the lack of them. I blame that on the coaching staff. They finally let KJ play and only cause Castle had foul trouble. They also need to send either Castle or Harper to the G League, they both need development and with DJG to pick up the slack offensively, why not.

This podcast is spot on with their criticism today; it’s not just the players!

  8. Wrmby is a great talent, thrilled that he is a Spur. But he is selfish and doesn't play within team structure. Always looking for the ESPN highlight play and not the team play needed. Needs to learn team ball, which would allow him to become the best player in the league and not just an inconsistent highlight.
