  1. Kid looked good. I wanted him to go to the g league so that he could get more minutes but after last night maybe he won't need to.

  2. Dude will give real contribution very soon. He's been saying his goal is to become top 5 in the league and the league's 2nd best (lol) defender. I love that confidence, he definitely has the athletic tools and mindset to do it

  3. Bryant just has to play better than Harrison Barns to get regular minutes. Unfortunately, that bar has been kinda low lately.

  4. Seems his stint in Austin served him well to restore his rhythm and confidence. With enough opportunities to grow, he should be fine. He's got time on his side.

  5. impressive athlete with truly good defensive awareness, he will become what Sochan never became

  6. His attitude, humility and work ethic, combined with great physical gifts (40" vert) make me cheer for him. He's looked lost at times offensively, but always brings defensive intensity. It's really nice to see him have a good game with contributions at both ends. He's an investment, but his play last game looked deliberate, not just some lucky bounces. So want him to make the breakthroughts!

  7. He does have some growing to do but a lot of his mishaps this year are kind of a fluke or just bad luck I'd say. He's a great hustle defender and is team first which is the Spurs way. I'm personally very excited to see where Bryant is in 2-3 years honestly. He has the potential to be the third best player on the team in a few year once we move on from Fox

  8. When his development is complete he's gonna be a total monster for the Spurs. I see him as a future starter.

  9. The difference between him and sochan is his confidence in 3s. If only Sochan got the same confidence as Carter, he'd already replaced Barnes.

  10. Everyone seems to up their game on the Spurs. They seem to be competing with each other as well, in a good way. Who is going to have a great game? It seems like it could be anyone on the team. They're all great.

  11. Carter Bryant just needs to build confidence and some minutes to start aligning himself with the main/bench squad. This is a big step for him in his rookie year. I know some fans are frustrated with him and want him traded (basing this off of Instagram comment section), but give the guy a break.

On the other hand that has nothing to do with CB, I feel really bad for Jeremy Sochan as his minutes had been reallocated to Luke Kornet and Dylan Harper. I'm hoping the Spurs can redevelop him as a perimeter defender because right now perimeter defense is the weakest point of the Spurs.

  12. I think with the right shooting coach and the right temperament this dude could be a monster SF. And when you listen to how smart he is and how long-term his focus is I fully expect he'll deliver.

  13. His playing time in Austin was soooo valuable for him. He truly came back a different player…confidence, timing. I can't wait to see where this young fella goes with the Spurs.

  14. His biggest issue has been between the ears. Not IQ, but over-thinking. It’s clear that when he gets on the floor, he has a severe case of the yips. Last night, he seemed to break out of his shell a little bit. If the game slows down for him and he can believe in himself a little more, he will be a stud, no question.
