Here's my 2 cents. I think trading for kat is a very short sighted idea and i think walker said it best. Yes he makes us a more open and devistaring offensively and a fun team for the length of his contract. However A) im a huge Brandon miller fan and I would much rather take the risk on giving him a longer bigger contract than pay Kat and B) even if things go well and we make the play in or playoffs we will run into the exact same concerns the Knicks have fully healthy. Kat is a liability on defense and so is Brunson and teams in the playoffs hunt those two guys. Im not saying lamelo is a liability but hes certainly not a stopper on defense so our team chemistry would be we HAVE to win games 150 to 130. On top of i belive Kat is just not the high enough tier of asset to go out and pay 2 or 3 first rounders AND kaulk and the rest of our depth for. Lets ride out this year and hope everyone stays healthy and get some good fun competitive basketball out of this team this year and reassess after the season. Way more stuff opens up cap wise, we can build a little through free agency and the draft and MAYBE catch a bigger fish
The Melo, Kon, Brandon, Miles and Moussa starting lineup is like 6-1 now? I think we need to keep developing that chemistry for this season.

these hornets' ceiling is morelike the Covid Suns than Okc or Boston. Devin Booker – Kon Knueppel. Mikal Brdges – Brandon Miller. personally not a fan of Brandon Miller because of Pandemic P's influence and the injuries but thats what the hornets state right now.

No big contracts for aging vets. If it goes bad the franchise is sunk. Trade for a young prospect with something to prove. The more you guys talk the worse the KAT deal sounds.

LA native and Clipper fan here, but always had a soft spot for the hornets. Doug, I’m happy to tell you what big names like Chris Paul, Kawahi Leonard, Paul George, and James Harden bring you. They bring you a bunch of guys on the wrong side of 30, salary cap hell for years to come, no future draft picks because you traded them all for the big stars, and most importantly 0 championships. I was at the hornets clippers game at Intuit last week. You guys are a season maybe two away from contending for a Championship, if you stay the course. If you chase the big names, you end up like the Lakers, the Nets, the Suns, the Bucks, and my goddamn Clippers. Do nothing now, and thank me for the advice later. Best of luck hornets fans.
