The fan base isn’t panicked at all, bro. There is very little that happens in January that’s indicative of how the season is gonna end… Last year based on regular season performance all the talk with that we could not beat Boston or Detroit in the playoffs, only to do just that… And approve that I’m not just being a “homer” we fared well against Indiana last regular season only to lose in the playoffs to them… So the regular season means very little! This is a championship caliber team and anyone with a basketball IQ recognizes this as a slump. We’ll go on a run before seasons end.
Sorry but why would you need to attach a pick to KAT to trade him… He’s an unreal player and hasn’t showed any real cause for concern. He was in 2 consecutive conference finals teams- you are OFFERING multiple picks for KAT.
Hard to win in the NBA today, if you have a big guy in the game that doesn't defend the paint. KAT isn't much of a shot blocker, defender, rebounder…for his size. I think he tries, but he's slow footed for an NBA player. Obviously, he can't defend anyone on the perimeter, but that's a tough ask for most bigs, I know. Conversely, hard to win if your big ONLY defends, even if he is a 'one man defense' like Gobert. That Gobert has stone hands, can't shoot free throws, and even his own teammates are reluctant to pass him the ball makes it 4-on-5 offensively. I don't want to pile on, but Jokic isn't the "craziest athletic specimen" and he still gets the job done defensively. I am not a Knicks fan, so I don't really care. =)
Only the Knicks would give up a 21 and 12 guy who can space the floor. I don’t think people realize how bad their offense would fall off. You would have to get an elite defender in return.
What even is causing them to be bad? I haven’t had the time to watch much of them but I know towns falls won’t get up does finally and wipes his shoe mid on the team with the ball. I heard mikal has been bad but just looking at stats he seems fine and to top it off I heard mike brown has been batch coaching this month but idk
If they could get giannis by doing it, I'd trade Brunson in a package for giannis. Giannis and KAT could compliment each other, and it's easier to find a small guard that can score but not play defense
I mean only 11 games ago the Knick’s were playing some of the best basketball in the league, idk why it has to be so drastic to make a trade like that it’s not crazy to think they’ll get back on track thru the second half of the season.

Knicks get a cheaper reliable floor spacing big with rim protection
