Spurs need to learn how to stay mentally focused and close out teams in the clutch.
fox needs to go, and we need a shooter, thats it. hes being paid almost 40 million to be the most inconsistent and worst "superstar" in the NBA. if hes not gone that 40 will jump to 55-60 very soon, im ashamed we would give him such a contract.
The spurs need to make a trade for Trey Murphy, we can easily give up 3 picks for him
They lack both…toughness & SIZES? They where shooting to many damn 3 attack da rim they don't have a shot blocker so attack them!! Plus their young i get that but they should've won yesterday night they barely won against Minnesota. They need a PF who can rebound & a defensive wing. Stephon Castle needs to be smarter with the ball. He drives to the basket when there is like 3 players and just throws it up. Harper needs to be thrown into the starting lineup in my opinion.
We need a PF who can create shots on his own. Barnes is not a starter to me, no way he should be starting.
Kornet too good to trade, Castle, Harper, and KJ are untouchable. I think Devin and Julian is safe but everyone else is up for grabs imo.

Absolutely, and it's something that they're gonna have to learn hopefully by playoff time. That's the only thing holding us back, they need some dawgs and they need some nasty 1:38 and they need a fight for each other. Especially, when teams come at Wemby dirty!!! They need to be the superior team, in being more physical!!!
Castle needs to be traded; he's not a shooter and he slows the team down. a PF is more important than him

Spurs don't lack talent. What they are lacking is strategy going down the stretch. That's all coaching. When the game is starting to slip, that requires the coach to reign things in, call time outs and get the team focused again. That's what has been missing in every single game we lost

Personally, I feel like Mitch doesn't fight for Wembanyama enough for my liking. Coach pop would have thrown a chair at the refs for letting people elbow Victor that much. It's weird!
I think Devin Vasselll is the key to this team too! He is a shot creator who's tall and physical, And that's what we are missing.
The Spurs don't lack toughness; they need more of it down the stretch in order to close out games. Keep their foot on the opposition's neck and don't let up until the final horn.
whose better, lauri or fox? its lauri easily and lauri is known for having one of the worse contracts in the NBA, so……….. then why did we just give fox a contract that scales up to to 62 mil when lauris goes up to like 52 mil???? these pgs are already going cheap in the trade market with the new CBA and he can go out and get u 30 one night by the next night hes giving u 12????? we need to trade fox now before we have a near bradley beal situation in SAS….. like i really do like fox but hes like 8-10th best PG in the league been inconsistent and now we are paying him 62 mil in a couple years????????? yeah no thank you. Trade that guy now and a couple picks for someone whose better at the 3-4 spot. Look at what ja and trae are getting on the trade market, imagine fox at 62 mil…. no ones going to want to touch that contract.

Spurs donāt lack toughness, they lack physicality. They donāt have the muscle maturity like other teams, but they will develop naturally over the next few years.
Wemby gets beat up all the time n throw to the floor..while his teammates just walk away..they need to show some fight n to fight for each other..yes, they lack physical n mental toughness

Fox has been disappointing and not as clutch as he was supposed to be, he should be our go to guy instead of Victor bricking games away.

People aren't ready to have the uncomfortable conversation that needs to be had… Were a super young team & ya we have vets, but let's be real they don't have the juice or status of a "leader" the team is being controlled by Wemby & Castle. I get why esp with Vic, they're so good sometimes that we forget the fact they're barely past rookies stil… But then we get reminded & get shown they aren't rdy to have so much free reign (ESPECIALLY Steph) over the team like that if we want to win a chip. This game was a perfect example of why (it's been for a while now with Castle mainly) there's no reason it should feel like Steph has more (juice/status/pull/leeway etc) than Fox does. I get we want him to develop & I agree but it's getting to the point where his "development" has become detrimental. I also don't get why guys like him or Barnes etc can make INSANE mistake after mistake literally costing us games, but if some1 else has been playing well makes a minor one (like Carter)they get benched.. Or Barnes gets 30 min a night while shooting worse than Sochan ever has over like 20 games… but he still starts & gets more mins then guys like KJ & Julian. All while Sochan gets A dnp … It's gotten this out of hand I think do to us having a a young passive coach like Mitch.I don't think has that dynamic with this team to properly fill the "coach" role I feel like he's almost like scared to go tell Steph & even Vic at times like last night that they weren't performing at the level necessary if they want to be "in control of the ship" Vic has actually not been too bad but they need to stop trying to force stuff & Stephs time running the offense & being primary ball handler needs to be dialed back ASAP & empower Fox more to take control like the whole reason we traded for him!
We have PLENTY of toughness, however it does us NO GOOD if Mitch refuses to use that toughness and leaves our enforcer sitting on the bench. š¤¦š»āāļøš” #SochanTheDestroyer
This is Tank Syndrome in the truly first year we are the CLOSEST to going full throttle every minute of the game and every game of the season. KJ ā¤ forever šŖš½. Regardless we are moving in the right direction without impulsive, short term bumps. GSG!!!

Mitch Johnson is a rookie head coach. Wemby, Castle, Harper, and Champagnie have played less than 10 seasons combined. They will be fine. Making it beyond the first round of the playoffs would be a win as far as I'm concerned.
They don't lack toughness. They lack experience and maturity as a team. The coaching staff is also new. This team has to grow and they need this season to grow and mature from all aspects. We just need to be patient. I feel like the Spurs are not gonna make trades this deadline. They're gonna wait it out. See how far the team can go in the post-season. See which players show out. Then based on that, they'll make trades or sign free agents. The team just started winning now and that's great, but we shouldn't expect them to immediately win a championship because of that. There are obvious flaws that needs to be improved. If we can see it, I'm pretty sure they all see it, too. But yeah, I think they'll go the 2023-24 OKC route. Get to the play-offs, see which players show out, then make moves. OKC was the first seed in 2023-24, they had a bunch of young guys, too, and they waited it out until they got to the post-season to see which of their players can stay and which ones they can trade and also which positions they can improve on. After that post-season run, they traded Giddey and got Caruso for more defense and shooting, and signed Hartenstein to help Chet with the rebounding and it worked out for them and got them a ring. I have a feeling the Spurs will do the same. Spurs need more shooting and perimeter defense. They have a bunch of draft picks that they can use for the next draft and the prospects are turning out to be promising as well, or they can use those assets for a trade. If the Spurs sign anyone or trade for anyone before the trade deadline this season, it's probably not gonna be for someone big like Trey Murphy or Markannen. They'll probably get someone low-key.
The more physical teams get with Wemby, the further away from the rim he goes. Steph Castle shouldn't be our primary distributor, and Sochan and CB need minutes. And Barnes SHOULD NOT BE A STARTER

We lack toughness in the paint we are too light too small and predicatable kornet and wemby is not enough we need a moussa diabate kind of player that bring defense rebounds and toughness
