The Celtics Make NO SENSE
The Boston Celtics were supposed to struggle this year with Jayson Tatum out with an achilles injury but instead Jaylen Brown playing career best basketball has them as the second seed in the East ahead of the New York Knicks and only behind the Detroit Pistons. It’s very impressive and with a Jayson Tatum return on the horizon, the Celtics might be poised to win the Eastern Conference and be back in the NBA Finals out of nowhere.

The Celtics haven't played Celtics Basketball since the arrival of Point Tatum.
JB mvp
I had the celtics at the 6th seed these guys amaze me in moments and kill me in other moments but ill never be able to say they aren't one of the best teams I've seen
I'm no Celtics fan but I could not believe people going into the season were writing the Celtics out of the playoffs. Jaylen Brown was literally the ECF MVP and FMVP. He is a more than capable #1, and Boston's depth has been proven to be real
Edit: plus Mazzulla genuinely has the Midas touch lol
We don’t fold!!! ☘️☘️☘️😎
dont forget they lost kornet to the spurs as well. the celtics record only dont make sense if one hated mazzula ball or didnt think joe was a top 5 level coach.
i had them at 50W in the preseason as i knew in the preseason JT was coming back earlier. i didnt expect them to be 2nd seed though. JT is a literal top 5 player as hes has been 1st team all-nba for how many years now.
yes 2nd best net rating despite getting the worst whistle in the league with the lowest FTA and FTD.
they are technically a contender because they dont have to face ALL those teams in west. just one. whether the celtics are a contender is a question of whether they can beat NY or detroit and make it into the ECF. i dont consider that farfetched. by definition, if they can make it into the ECF, they are contenders.
The only issue with this team right now is that they struggle in close games. If they figure that out, I believe they’re a contender
The thing I like about stars like JB is, his play style allows other to get their game off instead of having to fix your game around them. With players like Luka Jokic Harden they take so much individuality and freedom away from their teammates to benefit their personal stats
If the celtics take the first seed jalen brown has to be top 3 in MVP conversations
Not because he's the best player in the nba but because he isthe most valuable to his team
Look it is clear JB IS A SUPERSTAR!! JT is A SUPERSTAR!! When JT comes back and he now sees the level of two way performance that JB is givivng, I know he is going to have the competitive fire to say, If you got Cade Cunningham then I got Tobias Harris and let's shut these Pistons down.
I'm so happy we shut up all the haters saying we would be a lottery team this year. Maybe the Pacers would do something like that, but the Celtics would never. JB has been a top 10 player in the league any day. People didn't want to give him his credit for years because the anti-Boston media bias would never accept that the Celtics had two top 10 players. Now they are trying to say Tatum isn't/was never our best player lol 🤣 you just can't win man.
Nice sweatshirt man! I'm in Maine myself
Look . I didn't expect them to be contenders… Just be competitive and do their best….
But damn…. !!!
The thing that blows my mind is Derrick white and Payton Pritchard are also both having down years. Their ppg is up but their efficiencies are way WAY down. Makes no sense as to how the offense is so good
The Celtics are no good, the Eastern Conference is hella weak. Their current record would be good for 7th and a play-in status in the Western Conference. JB been balling though.
I am a genius as I said JB would lead us to the finals averaging 30. I thought we’d improve with ball movement and transition speed without JT. I was partly right about that. Ball movement has been great.
They already won a tittle and they're just entering their prime years
I don’t think with current roster can the Celtics get past the pistons, if someone else in the east can somehow get rid of them, Celtics can easily clear the east. Once in the finals, Celtics can’t beat Denver, probably couldn’t beat spurs, could possibly beat OKC, so it’s really a lot of variables and things that have to play just the right way. If we did win it all again somehow this year, injuries to star players on other teams or not. Are people still gonna say it was a Mickey Mouse run or will the respect finally be there?
I think most Celtics fans coming into the season considered being the 4-6 seed an incredible success, most gave up after that early season loss to BKN, Thunder Celtics finals would be fun
How many of these "they shouldn't be this good" videos are we going to keep seeing at this point? It's almost the All-Star break and these 🌽🏀 "OMG TATUM IS OUT THEY SHOULDNT BE THIS GOOD, WITHOUT ALL WORLD, FUTURE HOF AND THEIR BEST PLAYER EVER JAYSON TATUM" videos are still littering YouTube. And because we're Celtics fans, the algorithm keeps bringing us these stupid, regurgitated talking points with these hyperbolic, high on some type of upper, babbling at the mouth content creators.
Nobody who's actually Celtics fan is surprised by this Team's success. It's only you Tatum fangirls.
So Jesse Eisenberg from that God awful BVsS film…take it down a whole notch
BEEN SAYING THIS JAYLEN BROWN HAS ALWAYS BEEN BETTER THAN TATUM💯🤷🏾♂️ESPECIALLY WHEN IT MATTERS MOST THATS WHY HE WAS THE FINALS MVP
Shout out for the Acadia sweatshirt! That's basically in my backyard.
I thought they’d be good still because they got rid of a bunch of part-time, old, injured players. They got way more athletic and healthy
Jaylen Brown mvp case..?
Wow…
Glazed’em…..
Hard too …
😂..
Come on ya’ll
Pistons look like the thunder in the east…
Pretty clear its over this year and they get the chip 🤷♂️
DE-TROIT BASKET-BALL!!!!!!
I straight up have the slow the video down to .8 just to here this MF talk lol
C's fan here, super fun/uplifting season. Basically all our role players leveled up (shout out qetta and walsh!). Think we're only one rotational big away from having a great team to brawl with y'all (OKC) throughout the J's primes. Would be some awesome duels!
The reason why they forced him left is because they found out he was injured after that 76ers series. And then he injured his left elbow in game 1 driving to the basketball and got tripping up by Bam its not a big secret. Just no one wants to talk about it they had their narratives and yall ran with it. Before that series you didn't hear anything about him not being able to get left VS the Hawks or the 6ers and you cant show me one "no left hand post" propr to that Heat series. But somehow he cant go left because of 8 t/o when Tatum had 7 the game before and no one mentions it. Or mentions that even though Brown had 8t/o that game he still didn't pass Tatum for the most t/o that whole playoffs, or mention that Brown doesn't hold the nba record for the most turnovers in the post season, or that he avgs less t/o per career than tatum. Its funny turnovers are always synonymous with Brown and not tatum. Anyway i predicted them as top 5 in the east this year. I also said Brown would be averaging what he is now because its the same numbers and fg% he averages the games tatum didnt play. Yall heads were just so far up tatums poop shoot to see it…
Why nothing to say about OKC once they started losing to more than Wemby?
Don't get Chris Forsberg excited talking about Time Lord coming back 🤣🤣🤣
If they’re a top 3 seed with 50+ wins at the end of the season, JB should win mvp
