   This offseason is going to tell us a lot about this front office. I sort of understand a reluctance to trade certain guys right now. Trey Murphy seems to be the only realistic trade candidate that would net a meaningful return at the deadline and I get not wanting to pull the trigger on that move yet.

   But it’s getting harder and harder to see a real way forward that doesn’t involve trading a guy like Herb or Trey (or both), eating the remainder of some of the “bad” contracts we have, and looking to capitalize off picks that come back and a few years of being a bottom tier team record wise while developing young players.

   Some Pels fans may not like it, but it’s how these rebuilds happen. We’ve tried the accelerated version over and over since we drafted AD over a decade ago. And the end result is always the same. This team needs to bottom out.
