Giannis calls out ‘selfish’ Bucks after thrashing by Thunder

The Milwaukee Bucks went down by 20 in the first quarter at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder and ended up losing by the same margin, prompting Giannis Antetokounmpo to refer to his teammates as playing “selfish” after the game.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti dissect Giannis’ latest comments and discuss what was a wacky rotation by Doc Rivers, including Gary Harris starting and then just not playing again following Milwaukee’s rough first quarter. They go over some troubling numbers and why its not just the faults of players like Ryan Rollins and Kyle Kuzma that the offense is off, but also connected to the Bucks’ archaic offense.

  1. The giannis body language is interesting.

He's triple teamed and his idiot teammates cannot create any space with off-ball movement. They learned from the best at being useless off ball (thanks dolla).

He has to create all of his own shots with zero assists to score off. Body language looks like a dude who is physically exhausted, emotional affected by the no calls and very clear disparity in physicality allowed vs him compared to his opponent, and agitation that there is no cohesion or chemistry to get things moving.

  2. This game was already over by the end of the first quarter. I have no idea why anyone would believe otherwise.

  3. Portman is the white swan and as she experiences psychological warfare internally from the pressure of perfection and outside noise, she morphs into the black swan, gives a "perfect" performance and a tremendous cost….

    So there you have it.

    F'd up and fantastic film.

  4. We sincerely need to tank the rest of the season. It’s been entirely over for weeks now, just tank and pray for a top 3 pick. It’s the only thing that can possibly fuel future success

  5. I’ve had a feeling the NBA has no idea what they are doing when Adam Silver mentioned “it’s a highlight driven league” then rambled about short form, vertical content… Rivalries week is such a TikTok brainrot take on real NBA rivalries

  6. you can't play more than one of this group: Green, Rollins, Trent, Anthony, KPJ , there all bad defense, barely can dribble, can't rebound, easy post-ups, Quack Rivers never learns, fire Horst, then Fire Rivers

  7. Trade Giannis. As much I don’t want them to. This team just isn’t going anywhere. They need a full rebuild. Let Giannis go compete for championships because he will not with the Bucks especially with Doc Rivers as coach. Also no trade this year will save this team

  8. Giannis need to nut up & stop all this crying. Nobody feeling sorry for you or the bucks. Stop saying “Guys not listening or playing hard”. Blah blah, go get in someone face and yell at them. Be direct & get on the same page. But nah, he can’t because his ass takes plays off 2

  9. As Robb Stark said "we need our men nore than they do". Our injuries hurt us way more, they're way deeper.

  10. Im still not ready to say the roster is bad. Im convinced its the coaching that makes them play bad basketball, not their individual skills or tallent nor the roster building. We are full of good 3&D guys that theoreticaly fit well with Giannis and with each other. We got a better overall roster than the past 2 years for sure, but the coaching staff seems completely incompetent to make them play any short of organised team-basketball. Im 100% sure that a good coach Spo or Mazzulla would have that same roster top3 in the East, and any decent coach would be top6 with it. Doc is just a clown that pretends to be a coach, so he is struggling to be in a play-in spot

  11. Who is Giannis talking about? Rollins? Kpj? Green? These are the youngest players.

Regardless, as long as the Bucks run lineups with Bobby at the 5, Green or Harris or Trent at the 3 and Kuzma at the 4, the Bucks will be killed on defense and rebounding.

Throw in the point guards turning the ball over from start to end and Miles not rebounding enough, this team always plays from behind without a bench that makes up ground or make stops, therefore another predictable loss.
